How do you shut change oil display after changing oil on dodge avenger

Low engine oil level will shut off Fuel pump if more than 1 quart low.....Bad oil pressure sending unit controls Fuel Pump relay also........If more than 4 Years old, it would not hurt to replace it..........

U mean the oil sensor? oil sensor is located near the oil filter area just look around that area with a single wire on it

1. first turn key on engine off,
2. within 10seconds of turning the key on fully depress gas pedal slowly to floor three times.
3. turn the key off.
4. start engine and message is reset, if not then repeat steps.

check the auto shut down relay,check fuel pump relay and the fuel pump pressure

turn key to on position but don't start, then pump gas pedal slowly 3 times and light should go off and stay off just did it on my 08 avenger

could be a pluged oil filter or falty oil sending unit did you try changing your oil

The following procedure should reset your oil change light:

1. Turn ignition to the "ON" position.
2. Quickly press button to the left of the spedometer twice.
3. Turn ignition off. Press and hold button and turn ignition tothe "ON" position. Continue to hold button until new interval is displayed and a chime is heard.
4. Turn ignition off.

To reset your maintenance reminder system (even if the light hasn’t come on yet), you’ll need to turn your key to on (but don’t start!) and make sure your odometer is on TRIP A. Then key off. Press and hold the Odometer/Trip button. While holding down on the button, key the ignition to on (Don’t start the engine!) The display panel will count down from “------“ to “-“Continue pressing the button until the Trip A is displayed. After this step, you are done.

Turn key to the run posistion and pump the gas peadle 3 times under 5 seconds.

Take the car to Jiffy Lube or some place like that it is roughly 32.00 to do an oil change with the filter included. Do not change it yourself you want a license mechanic to change it in case there is an issue with the replacement filter you may have purchased. Dealer is also good to take it to for an simple oil change dealership has a punch a deal going on where you pay for the first 4 oil changes and the 5th is free
