How to service a tire monitoring system

If the BCM detects a low tire pressure condition, a variation in pressure between 2*tires on the same axle, or a malfunction in the system, it will send a serial data message to the instrument cluster. Hope this helps!

Warning lights van

that is the tire pressure monitoring system warning light, letting you know that one or more of your tire pressures is lower than spec. Some people have the light come on after service to wheels/tires. Damage to TPMS sensors is common when removing tires from wheels.

We just had new tires put on the front of our 2005 freestar and the light keeps coming on even after reseting it numerous times what do we do?

if the pressures are ok, and the reset procedure does not fix it, it is likely that one of the sensors became damaged during the tire change. you should return to the service center that changed the tires and have them check it out.

before that, check that ALL FOUR of your tires are set to 35 psi. the system works on pressure differentials (not just low pressure) so make sure ALL the tires are set equally. also note that some systems may also have a sensor in the spare tire, and can cause the light to come on also. please check the door tag on your van to confirm what the pressures are supposed to be set at. good luck!

My car has been telling me to service my tire monitor system

The service tire monitor warning can come on for many reasons. A sensor may have gone bad, may have been broken if a tire was changed recently, the car needs an updated module and antenna. The system woiuld need to be looked at by a technician.

"Service Tire Pressure System" Warning light comes on every time

first check tire pressure. if ok then calibrate t.p. sensors with weight you have on spare in trunk. if still happens after that you have a faulty tire pressure sensor.

Service Stability System keeps coming up on my display. It seems to do it right after starting my car and backing up or when coming to a stop sign. The other day I backed out of an area kind of quickly due...

I had the same problem...but I found out that the dealer had rotated incorrectly the tires.
Front and back are different sizes and if a rotation is performent front to rear, you may get a stability light warning.

I corrected my tires and the warning went a way.
