For 1998 Toyota Truck Sienna 3.0L EFI 6cyl the Head Bolt Torque...

Torque Sequence
-------------------- Front | 7 2 4 6 | Of | 5 3 1 8 | Engine --------------------- | 5 3 1 8 | | 7 2 4 6 | ---------------------

Step 1 - 12 Point bolts: Torque to 40 ft/lbs
Steps 2 - 12 Point bolts: Turn 90 degrees
Steps 3 - Recessed bolts: Torque to 13 ft/lbs Recheck final torque in sequence

Caution: Engine uses torque to yield head bolts (TTY) that permanently stretch during initial installation. New head bolts must be used when cylinder head is replaced or re installed to obtain proper torque specification.

Hope this help (remember rated this post). Good luck.

I need too know the torque specs on head bolts and crankcam 2.4 engine

on a 2002 2.4 engine head bolts are 'torqued to distance'.

First, install all the bolts, and, in a sequential fashion, starting at the innermost, working outward, torque all bolts to 70 N-m/806 kgf-cm/58 foot lbs.

Next, mark the front side of each head bolt with a dot of paint. Retighten the cylinder head bolts 90 degrees, starting at the inner 2, and working outward.I dont thin anything has changed on this engine since then.

Head core torch spec

Are you asking for the head torque specs? You must have new head bolts to do this, they are what you call "torque to yield" head bolts, they stretch and act like a spring, so they are one time use.. Also need to know which engine you have?

Torquing head

The 98 Corolla has a "torque-to-distance" spec.

First, torque all 10 bolts to 36 ft lbs (49 NM or 500kgf-cm), in a clockwise fashion, starting with the 2 center bolts.

Second, mark the bolts with a paint mark, and then torque each of the 10 bolts an additional 90 degrees.

Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa.
