Step one Look at the inside door handle. Behind it you should see a little cover, You pop that off and there will be 2 phillips head screws behind it. remove them.
Pop out the door handle, and unplug the power lock plug,
Youll also have to take the door lock rod, by spinning the plastic door handle 90 degrees until u can wiggle it out.
next remove the sail panel( The little triangle shaped piece in the corner of the door on the top, ( may have a tweeter in it) ( it just pops out)
Next take a screwdriver (flat head) and pry off the cover of the door handle, there will be
2 phillips head screw behind it ( remove screws)
Unplug power window connector (big green plug)
Now just start gently pry the door panel off with a screw driver, see if u can peek behind the panel and see where the panel clips are, and pry near those areas
HAVE 2001 HONDA CIVIC LX . HAD TO REPLACE BATTERY IN CAR LAST WEKK AND RECODE MY RADIO. RAIO WORK FOR A WEEK AND IS DEAD TO THE WORLD. CAN NOT CODE THE RADIO SINCE THE SCREEN IS DEAD. HAVE TO TAKE RADIO/CD UNIT OUT OF DASH. WHAT IS THE EASY DEALERS METHOD TO TAKE OUT AND ASLO PUT THE RADIO BACK INTO THE DASH? HOW DO THE DEALERS DO IT?
look in boot ,left hand side but check both in case ....under mat their should be a sticker with code on it,it will show model number of radio and a four figure code
I just installed a radio and speakers in my 1992 Civic LX (132323 miles). Most radios are removed by disassembling some of the dashboard components. On mine I had to remove the lower center console (where the ashtray/lighter is located) to access the rear of my old radio. There is a metal support strap back there which stabilizes the radio and provides equipment grounding. This has to be removed from the radio before you can un-install the radio. Also there may be a metal mounting sleevearound the radio, if so you must use (2) thin metal strips (or thin screwdrivers)to disengage the (2) side clips from the sleeve. You should then be able to remove your old radio.
As for wiring , I had to discard the wire harness the came from the old stereo and hard wire the new unit. I used a 12v circuit tester to find my (+) positive (typically red) and (-) negative (typically black) leads. Speaker wires are in pairs. (example: blue/white white/blue or white/white-black)
hey, I replaced a mirror on a 2002 civic lx coupe.
1) Pry off the small pastic traingular piece from the interior of your door.
2) Disconnect the wiring to the mirror
3) There will be 3 bolts that attach the mirror to the car, remove these and the mirror can be removed. To put on the new mirror just do everything in reverse
Just make sure you order the right mirror, I accidentally order the mirror for the sedan model the first time and they are not interchangable.
