You need to remove the belt and check for a bad pulley.
If this is something that you don't know how to do take it to a friend or friendly repair shop.
Once you have the belt off spin each pulley to find one that does not spin freely. The only one that you won't be able to spin will be the bottom one which is the crankshaft.
Mare sure the radiator support shows the belt routing diagram for re-install, or draw one yourself.

A bad fuse, bad switch, bad wiring, bad motor/module, or the T case has an internal problem. Most times is the motor/module.

Humming noise

Check the boots on the CV joints. If one cracks and the grease flew out, the joint may be going bad.

How do I remove the stereo from my 2007 Sport Trac?

  1. Lift the console lid.
  2. Take the two screws out from the front console cover. It is the cover that goes down around the shifter.
  3. Remove the cover by pulling up from the back.
  4. Next pull the front cover off from around the radio. This cover goes all the way down to the center console.
  5. Unlug all connections.
  6. Take the 4 screws out from around the radio that hold it in.
To install just repeat the steps in reverse.

Airbag light indicates code 51 on 2005 ford explorer sport trac. codes not listed in owners manual or repair manual. does anyone know without putting a computer on it?

It is a very plain code it has something to do withthe drivers side seat belt buckle. Either out of range short to power or ground etc. Need a more specfic code to pnpoint exact problem but I can tell ya it is in your drivers seat belt connection somewhere
