Check the parking brakes.

Is the brake fluid reservoir low? The master brake cylinder may be leaking, the fluid getting sucked into the brakes power booster and then into the vacuum of the intake manifold. Check the vaccuum hose to the brakes power booster to see if it is wet inside with brake fluid.

How long have you been driving? Dashboard lights, parking lights, cabin lights etc have dedicated switches in most vehicles. Check your model with BMW for details.

is this the front brakes doing this?? or the rear?? i would recomend changing pads and rotors and drums(rear) and shoes(rear)

clean or replace idle air control valve located on the throttle body, this is the valve that adjusts the ammount of air allowed into the engine to adjust fuel mixture. If you change it clean the throttle plate of all the carbon build up

The daytime running lights are designed to be always on. The only way I can think for you to turn them off is to go to the fuse panel on the left end of your dashboard and pull fuse #8...I'm pretty sure that is the fuse for the DRL module. Check your owner's manual and verify that, ok?

If you have the day-time running lights, you will have to find the fuse and pull it. They make these daytime running lights because you get a 10% less chance of an accident. (supposedly)

Hello there:
you may want to take it to autozone and have them do a free diagnostics on it. to see if the fuel system ie. the fuel pump or filter is failing or if you just need a simple tune up.
