2002 Passat help

I just bought a 2002 Passat wagon with 128,000 miles on it. It didn't come with an owners manual or key fob or back cargo cover. I was curious what size battery it might need, and where to find good deals on the missing items. There are also a few other missing things like, one of the knobs for the stereo (treble knob) and the back ashtray area is empty (wide open) and a missing vw emblem on the right rear center alloy wheel. Lastly, the plastic slide in pieces that are just behind the front tires under the side rails of the car are missing...

Look on craigslist and ebay too! I sold my rear cargo cover for my 2002 Passat wagon on craigslist a few years ago.

If you are not having any luck in the local auto salvage yards then have a look at vwvortex. When you type that in click on vwvortexforums in the hint box on your screen or when the page comes up go onto forumsmain. They have several sections depending on make and model. Go from there and there will be a forum for buying and selling based on your car. Hope this helps.

My 2002 passat wont open with the fob but the key itself only fits in half way. Battery is dead and cant get in to charge it

Without power in the car battery the key fob won't open the car. If the key fits only halfway in the lock spay some wd-40 or some other maintenance spray in the lock and work the key in and out CAREFULLY. eventually you should get in.

How do I take the drivers seat out of my 2002 Volkswagen Passat station wagon 1.8t?

Should be two 13mm head nuts under the front center support of the seat. Remove the two plastic track covers behind the seat. Roll seat back, with release pulled. Take care with connectors for seat heaters and airbags.

Battery in key died. Put new ones in, alarm is not responding and can't roll down windows, start car or turn on interior lights/ 2000 passat

Hello! On the 2007 Passat you must pry the cover off of the manual key slot... Observe from the bottom there is a slot... Place the key in the slot, at the same time pry from the bottom and the whole cap will come off revealing the keyhole... With a good fob put power to the car but do not start the engine... With a manual key, lock the door...Now press the fob you are trying to train twice... It should take the code...Unlock the door, remove the good fob and test the new fob...

2002 VW passat wagon brakes

Check the level of the brake fluid, as the pads wear down the fluid level falls slightly and the sensor reacts and gives the warning, it may happen more as you are cornering and the brake fluid moves, try gently topping up the brake fluid it doesn't need much..

Front door locks on a 99 passat

You have the wrong KEY if it won't turn any locks.
You can use the KEY fob from another Passat.
The one you have was most likey not the original
and the car was reprogrammed to except that FOB.

The Fuse panel Is inside the DRIVES side.
Open the Driver door. Look at the side of the DAShboard.
THat Giant "B" Shapped plastic cover pops off.

Check the fuses...IF any are broken, black or no good.
REplace them

Hope this helps
