2006 Audi A3 - Driver side button for the passenger window is broken. From the passenger side, pressing the window button makes it move up and down no problem what so ever, but from the driver side, the window only moves down, nothing happens when I try to close the window, I know from the older models the A3 had a window problem where when the button is pressed, the window moves up slightly, then moves back down, but this is not the case here, as it does not move up at all. The window motor works fine as passenger window button works perfectly. Please help Thanks.

SOURCE: Electric Window move slowly

Your window clips that hold the window in have broken.  You will need to replace these clips in order to fix it right.  The clips you can buy at any audi dealer.  Ask for the most updated ones.  There have been many updated clips.  Audi has been trying to develop better ones for years but they still keep breaking.  Its a very common issue.  Your window will still go up and down but since the clips broke you will have it bind in the track. To get you by for the time been.  Lubricate the window track with some silicon spray.  This will help keep it from binding up until you can do the repair.

SOURCE: AUDI A3 intake flag motor

I had the exact same problem. The check engine light would come on then go off. I didn't notice any drivabiltiy issues. End the end I had to replace the flapper motor, the high pressure fuel pump and the camshaft. They showed me the old parts and sure enough the camshaft lobe was worn down and the cam follower that actuates the fuel pump was in pieces. Needless to say it was very expensive. It's been a problem posted on many Audi sites. I went ahead and had the timing belt changed. Now she's as good as new.

One of the rear doors on my 2006 Audi A3 keeps setting itself to child's lock, so the door remains unlocked on the outside. What should I do?

You may have to replace the lock module on the door or the switch on the driver's side that locks the windows if they're connected to the child lock? Normally the child lock is a manual lever on the inside edge of the opened door.
Check your owner's manual. If the physical lever keeps moving you'll have to get inside the door and find out why it won't stay in position.

How do u know if its d regulator or motor that goes out on a window. If d rear passenger on a 03 Audi a 4

If you can raise and lower the window by hand, then it's the regulator. 9 times out of 10 it will be the regulator. I have a 2003 A4 and both rear window regulators are broken.

Passenger window won't work using the driver side control switch

Open the window with the local button and keep the button pressed for 3 seconds after it has fully opened. Then close the window and keep the button pressed for 3 seconds after it has fully closed. This calibrates the position of the window which it lost when you changed the battery. Good luck
