Either the seat switch is bad or the cable that drives the seat adjuster up and down is broken. It will be easier to check the switch with an OHM meter than taking the seat out I know
There are 3 motors associated with the power seat. 1 to raise and lower the seat, 1 to move it back and forth, and 1 to change the tilt or recline of the seat. Most likely the motor to raise and lower the seat is bad. I would also check the switch to see if power is getting to the seat motor for that.
Email me at [email protected] and I can send you instructions. I also have brass gears to replace the broken plastic seat gears if you are interested

The most common problem is that some of the teeth have broken off of a small gear in the motor. I have a video where I demonstrate one of the many ways to fix this. Here is the link to my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQLVvUf-9rs
