Can't open boot on 96 Audi A4

if unable to turn key in boot then you will have to drop the seats down inside and climb in. remove the rear door panel and move the release mechanism manually. Make sure the vac pipes are connected and the mechanism isnt siezed.

I have a 2004 Audi A4 and I went to start it today and t was dead. I jumped it and the alarm went off, the EBS light is illuminated and both turn signals (like hard lights but faster) are continuously...

Sounds like your security system thinks your stealing it. Try locking and unlocking manually. Jump starting can sometimes damage electronics not usually a good idea. It is better to disconnect the battery and charge it then reconnect it. You may have blown the EBS fuse which may be mounted ont the ebs computer.

Audi a4 central locking will operate on its own whilst driving. if you lock it using the fob the alarm goes off after about 5 mins.

alarm sensors work really hard on a car and does bottom out over time. it sounds to me that a faulty sensor is messing around with the security system. I know of people that bypass this by installing a new aftermarket system which is more advanced and uses the door mechanisms and transponder key. good luck

Audi 96 a4 open and closes on it own

do you use keys or remote to lock it ??
do this anyway.. lock car with key and hold key over for 30secs.the windows may go down, then release and wait 30 secs ,then lock car with remote holding button down for 30 secs, this resets the central locking./alarm system.also check battery is fully charged as this will have an effect on all the above

Central locking has stopped working on my 1996 audi A4

The 1996 A4 uses a central locking system which is vacuum operated. Each door has a vacuum servo which raises and lowers by air pressure created by the vacuum pump. The pump is located in the trunk right behind the passenger side tail light.

Either the pump is faulty or the vacuum lines leading to it are damaged.

This problem may be best left to the Audi dealer to troubleshoot as this is very model specific and not many small shops will have experienced this problem.

I have a 1998 Audi A4. My central lock stopped working

The humming is the central lock vacuum pump running..You either have a leak in one of the lines, or one of the hoses has popped off

Clifford immobiliser unlocks doors, does not start car

Find where your fuel pump relay is and check for power there. Most alarm tech's and alarm system dis engages the fuel pump at there relay's.

Simple things to check is the fuse first then go for the relay and if everything there is working properly, it could be your alarm may have gone bad or your fuel pump it self.

Good luck and hope this helps
