How do you replace the module and wiper motor on Hummer H2? where is it located? Is there a HOW TO Video?
The wiper motor is located under the hood cowl. Open your hood, pop off to the 2 decorative plastic covers at the corner of the hood/windshield and you should see a phillips head screw to remove on each side. After removing them, slide back the safety latch on the wiper arms and remove them from the gear. At this point, you should be able to pop off the cowl, as there will be 4 total pops holding it in place. Carefully slide it out around the wiper gears and lay in engine area, as if you move too far you will rip out washer pump hose. There are (3) 10mm bolts to remove to take out wiper arms/gears, 2 on the sides, 1 in the middle. After disconnecting the module plug, you can remove the apparatus so that you can access the #35 Torx screws and 13mm nut to remove the defective wiper motor. Install the new motor in the same fashion as removing it, and then follow the entire process in reverse to put everything back together.
The module and wiper motor should be on the firewall, driver's side, under the hood. The module is the very front of the motor and is held on by 3 torx head screws. The module can be purchased seperately through cardone for around $35 - 50. I assuming the wipers just go off without being turned on? Common issue for GM products. Let me know what else you need.
Had the same issue, although my washer motor wouldn't stop, removed the module, cleaned the circuit board with contact cleaner, blew dry low heat, made sure there was no corrosion between the items on the board, (there WAS corrosion shorting out the pieces on the board), greased the seal, replaced, works fine.
