Front driver's side makes a momentary click sound when going from park to reverse or into drive, sometimes while driving. Does'nt seem like it would be a tie-rod since no problem while turning the wheel.

Clicking sound while turning means the cv axle is going bad, but you should have the front end inspected first, a good front end man can usually identify the sound by its tone

Why is my parking brake clicking when i press the brakes?

This is the shift interlock cable dis-engaging. It is the cable that makes it where you can not shift out of park unless the brake is depressed.

Clunking noise when turning wheel on my renault megane any ideas what this could be

I would take it in and get your CV joint checked. When they start going bad they make the noise you describe and you can sometimes feel a little catching or surging feeling when turning sharp. Your mechanic can inspect them from underneath and usually tell pretty quick if you have a problem.

Shifter is erratic. wont start in park. drives forward when shifted to reverse, sometimes drives forward when in park. sometimes reverse is neutral (which is good so it will start!!!) what is going on???

It sounds like the linkage at the transmission has come loose. Have someone get inside and move the shift lever from gear to gear so you can see where the linkage is on your transmission. You'll have to climb under ypou truck to see this, on the drivers side. check to see that all the bolts are tight. Your switch that allows you truck to start in Park or Neutral is located there.

1995 jeep grand cherokee transmission park to drive shift noise

Check transmission fluid level, then look at transmission linkage. Some are in a place where they can be bumped around and knocked out of place. Tweek the shifter a little on both sides of the resting position when you shift. If the noise goes away. It is probably linkage related. If you can sample the tranny fluid, check for burnt smell and or metal flakes. Aamco will check it free but dont let them sell you repairs as preventative measures. They will try.

Loud noise sometimes ocurs when excelerating or braking. sounds like metal draging , but it is not.

Is the car stick shift or auto. Sound like a problem with either the transmission which is spinning all the time even when sat still. Or the Rear axel is tuffed out..
