Pilot bearing or a throw bearing is what makes the noise while shifting gears and as for the steering noise, you either have low steering fluid or the steering pump belt is loose.
please check the fuse under the steering column, find the fuse or circuit of the fuel system,if ok the last choice is check the engine control unit.check the printed circuit board or the transistor
My guess is that you have air in the system. Turn the steering wheel all the way left, and then all the way right several times. Check the fluid level before and after.
So you could not find the reservoir, or nothing was in it? Find the power steering pump and follow the hose to the reservoir. Honda uses special fluid.
You did not indicate whether you checked the fluid level for your power steering. Please check this first. Please read your owners manual for specific instructions!
You may be low on fluid.
The next step would be to check your engine belt. The power steering pump is driven by a belt. It is possible that you have a loose or worn belt that is not able to turn the pump sufficiently at idle, but when you rev the engine higher, the pump produces sufficient power. One way to test this is to rev the engine, then try to turn the wheel, see if you notice any difference. Let me know.
