Check Egine Light Stays On

I have a 2000 Mercdes E320 that has the check engine light on. I took it to the garage and when they put the tester on it showed that the two left ox sensors need to be replaced, This was done but with a few days the light came back on. The garage checked again and this time it was the right side sensor needed to be replaced this was doen and now the light has come back on again showing the two rear sensors needing replacement but they are brand new. Is it possible that the sensors are defective or could there be something else that is the problem.

Well if the sensors are defective the garage should warranty them, unless they are aftermarket products
then the warranty isn't so great.
If the shop that did the work determines that the sensors are a-ok then there may be a problem with the ECU or the circuit.

I have a 2000 mercedes benz e320 and its been sitting in my garage for about 10 years now and im planning on registering it and driving it as my everyday commute vehicle..i put gas in it the other day and...

Replace all fluids, replace belts and hoses. Check brakes for proper operation, get tires checked and replaced as needed. Replace wiper blades. Sitting unused is the worst thing for any vehicle. Check all lights for proper operation as well.

Ok, my 2000 acura 3.2 tl egine light blinks and the tcs light stays on, also the engine has a slight shake at idle. Took to autozone to get the codes came back as all 6 cylinders misfire, multiple misfire,...

This is strange. The tcs is a traction controll error. If you are getting misfire codes and traction control warnings, then I would have your control module tested to make sure it is not having intermittent power issues to each component.

Why is my check engine light on in my '04 chrysler sebring?

there is a number of reasons your check engine light is on. Your car is equipped with a self diagnostic system . There is also codes that your engine will display on a tester to tell you what is wrong. But when the check engine light comes on it is telling you its time to put it in a garage and find the problem and fix it.

1998 Ford Expedition check engine light binking on and off

Have someone who knows what they are doing try to pull the code, instead of erasing it and telling you it's fine. That is a no go. I would say lots of hesitation could have to do with the crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, etc.

Check the OBD2 codes stored in the cars computer with a cheap ($30) OBD2 tester or stop by your garage to have them checked.
The code(s) removed should help in diagnosing the trouble.

If you check the codes yourself....the plug for the tester is usually below the steering column inside the car.
It has to be within 3 feet of the steering column.

What does it mean when the check engine light is on while driving Toyota Corolla 2000 CE? thank you, Gregory

Your computer has found an error. It may be a small one, or not. You need to have someone (A garage) put a scanner to it to read it out. They can also reset it with the scanner. But if your computer still senses an error, it will turn the light on again.

Blue smoke but no lights on the problem

blue smoke on startup is generally from worn valve guides or bad stem seals on same (not really terrible as long as it stays the same) It will run rough for a minute 'till the oil in the cylinders is cleared out. Service engine light is pretty much on its own timer and does not mean anything but it's there to annoy you into going to the dealer. If O2 sensor was bad, it would eventually put the red check engine light on.
