according to handbook its the same fuse for the hazards and the indicators so surely the hazards wouldnt work either if the fuse was blown?

Hazard and flashers are 2 seperate systems

Testimonial: "thanks for your help, will try and purchase a new unit."

if they are useing the same fuse , then the flasher unit is probably at fault. the hazard and the flasher units have always been seperate

1998 Toyota Corolla turn signal not working but hazard is working

Two possibilities. They have the combination switch in common. Turn the 4 way switch on and off several times to get a better connection. Also make sure the turn signal fuse is ok.

Hazard flashers do not work. Turn signals do. Changed relay. Nothing. Ugh. 1992 oldsmobile cutlass supreme

You changed the hazard flasher or the turn signal flasher? It has two, one for the hazard and one for the turn signals

None of the turn signals work, the turn signal indicator in dashboard doesn't work either

It's either the fuse, switch, or blinker relay. You can replace the fuse and relay, the switch is a little bit more complicated. Relay is inside fuse box, either 2 or 3-pin unit
