What does 'MAINT REQ'D' light signify?

Should be right at the edge of the dash board near the driver's door,

Basically means you need service (oil change). Below is a description of the light. Also below is instructions on how to reset the light so it will not stay on but suggest if you haven't had it serviced you do so. I hope this helps and good luck

When a Honda Maint Req light blinks, but then stops, it is telling you to change your oil. If you don't change it, eventually, the maint req light will stay on. Here is how you reset the maint req light: 1) Turn they key to the II position
2) Turn the key to the off position, and push and hold in the odometer reset button
3) Turn they key back to the II position, while still holding the odometer button.
4) After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off.
If that doesn't work, try it this way: p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Verdana}

With the igniition off, press and hold the odometer button, turn the key to the "on" position, but do not start the car. Keep the odometer button down until the oil light begins and ends flashing. Turn the key off, and then start car to see if it worked or not.

you need to reset it. by having key turn off and pushing the trip reset button on the dash. then turn key on and the light should blink and go out after a while keep holding button tell it goes out

THE REQ MAINT LIGHT COMES ON TO TELL YOU THE CAR IS DUE ITS NEXT SERVICE within 800 miles.

try this with key off push and hold the trip re-set now turn key to on position. I have a toyota and this works for it. This may or may not work for honda

turn ignition off
press and hold the select/reset button
turn the key to on position II
hold at least 10 second

You need to scroll to the oil life selection, on your odometer. When it reaches the oil life, hold the button in until the display flashes. Then press it again and it should reset to 100% oil life. Try it with the engine running. If that doesn't work, try it with the ignition on and engine not started ( dash warning lights lit).

if you are not talking about the check engine light but the actuall maint. light for oil change due you should be able to push and hold the trip button on the dash turn the key to the on position untill light goes out or flashes then start vehicle

DO NOT operate your CRV until you have drained the coolant from the engine and radiator, then flush the system thoroughly w/ water.. Why did you add liquid detergent to the radiator? This will cause foaming of the detergent, and will probably result in diminished cooling of the system. Please describe the dashboard light that's on . Is it some type of symbol?
