Few different ways to close it, but the best way to do it would be to find the wires closer to the window itself, and give it an alternate power source, to at least get it shut, the you can trace the wires to find the short or broken lead

Sunroof not closing

You must dismount the sunroof glass, and then run the open an close operation until the cables are lined up. You will know when. Then install the glass back. Hopefully the plastic track is not broken.

1996 Range Rover SE Rear Brake Fluid Leaking right over passeenger side wheel. Computer states (low break fluid) all three brake lights are on. Peddel goes all the way to the end. Very low brake support...

Replace the wheel cylinder on the wheel where you see it leaking then bleed brake system you ought to be ok on your brakes. As for the sun roof sounds like part of the track system is stripped happens all the time on automatic shoulder belts you can hear the motor running but no movement.

Sun roof stuck fuse ok what else can i check how do you manualy open and close sunroof

In most cars you cant manually open and close electric sunroofs.
Likely the problem is in one of the switches. little bit of water can make a mess of switches

Can not close the sun roof on the 2003 land rover freelander. It will not go down in the back.

the procedure for resetting the travel limits for the sunroofs of the lr3's is with the engine running, hold the sunroof switch to the open position until the sunroof automatically opens and closes and stops moving. this takes about a minute. i'm not positive that the procedure is the same on the freelanders, but it's worth a shot. if it doesnt work in the open position try it again in the closed position. good luck!

Sunroof leaks on 2001 land rover discovery

should be a seal issue, not mechanical. Is the roof opening/closing properly? If so, while open examine the weatherstripping and look for damage or abnormal wear. with power roofs, sometimes the movement wears down the sealing abilty pending on its usage or debris hiding inside.
