6.2 diesel will not bleed diesel

Very close to scrapping entire project...absolutely disgusted...
90 chevy truck, 1500, 6.2 diesel. Blew head gasket, water in oil, ect. (300,000 miles)
Bought very nice looking 6.2 diesel military pullout, trying to start outside truck. Changed out injection pump solenoid, hooked 12v to it, put on new starter, battery, new lift pump at injection pump inlet, took out glow plugs, took all hard lines loose at injection pump to bleed diesel, cranked engine over forever. Very little seepage at line connectors.
Swapped out injector pump and lift pump. No change in seepage, but am getting return diesel from top of injection pump.
I should be getting fuel SPRAYING out of injection pump where the hard lines connect, right???? There is no manual bleed on this system.
What the heck am I doing wrong??????

Make sure all lines are light when turning engine over. While turning engine over loosen the a line closes to pump or the fuel filter. You should get some fuel. Then continue on all lines working farther away.

I have an 2000 Chevy venture and my temperature gauge is going way past the middle but van isn't running hot I have already changed the thermostat

Air pocket in cooling system is a possibility however the 3.4 liter gm v6 is also famous for the lower intake manifold gasket going out as well as head gasket issues. That engine is difficult to bleed air from as the bleed valve is not the highest point of the engine. Raise it in jack stands, bring to operating temp and Crack the bleed valve open until no air comes out then close. Repeat and make sure to keep water level uo. May take many tries to correct. If it turns out the intake gasket is gone or the heads have to be done make sure to get the upgraded gaskets used since late 2004. They are reinforced with a better material.

I have a 04 Ford F350 diesel dually, Auto ******.. The truck over heated now the truck won't start it will try to start but doesn't not have conpression what all could it have messed up? Pleas

sound like you blew the head gaskets. if you fill the radiator with water and leave the cap off and then try to start. if the water pushes out of the radiator then it is for shure the head gaskets.

I have a 90 Chevy 1500. 305, blew the head gaskets. Replaced them, but now I have no compression in cylinder 1. But before I tore the engine apart I tested the compression with my thumb and it blew it off....

Could be hydraulic lifter is holding valve open. Bring no 1 cylinder to TDC firing Lock engine from turning and with adaptor inject air to cylinder. If air comes out intake manifold then intake valve leaking. If comes out exhaust, you guessed it exhaust valve not closing. If comes out sump then bypassing rings. If comes out of radiator , head gasket leak into cooling system

I have a 1998 chevy 2500 4x4 6.5 diesel pu.truck starts and seems to run normal ,maybe a little loud, i heard chevy diesels this year are louder than fords etc. blows a little white smoke at startup some...

the head gaskets are blown you can believe that anytime on any engine gas or deisel that you get oil in the radiator and there water/ antifreeze in the oil pan the gaskets and or cylinder heads are bad

Can't get the E2200 R2 started after installing new head

You need to "bleed" the fuel lines.
Loosen injector 1, crank the engine until fuel comes out. Tighten the injector.
then repeat for the rest.
Do 2 injectors and see if you get any improvement.
I may bleed itself if you crank it over enough but can kill the battery.
if doing 2 doesn't help do them all.

Truck backfiring willnot idle

Check your head gaskets. And your exhaust gaskets, you have blew one of the gaskets your head gasket will leak oil and your oil will look milky and watery. Your exhaust you are going to have to take off and see

Water in cylinder

The absolute "cheapest" fix is to go to your local auto parts store & buy a can of a product that is called "Block Seal" or something like that (terminology changes from region to region); tell the parts guy your problem & he will sell you the right stuff. Read & follow the directions. I cannot guarantee that it will work 100% (as we both have no way of knowing exactly how bad the situation is without disassembly), BUT, I have personally used "Block Seal" several times, and have had good results.
Try it. If it works, you will haved tons of $$$. If it does not work, you will need to pull the head & replace the head gasket. Hope this helps.
