What color is the smoke?
white = coolant (possible head gasket)
Black = fuel (possible leaking injector)

Ford focus tdci not starting and white smoke coming out of the exhaust

It is a clear case of the glow plugs malfunction. It had happened with my neighbor who tried to start his diesel focus one day.
Even jump starting with another battery didn't solve the starting problem.

You could also check the EGR valve for damages and if you want to save a couple of bucks, then go in for used parts for the focus from Good used Focus Stuff

Hi I have Ford Focus 2.0 trend 2000 modle and it smokes heaverly on start up but once it is warm no smoke at all. I have recond the head complete and sent it back for a check, they there is nothing wrong...

I would need to know what color this smoke is because of it is white then I would say that you are probably witnessing normal operation. Modern Cat. Converters are designed to reduce emissions to carbon dioxide and water. This water condenses in the exhaust as it cools while shut off and produces white smoke when restarted until the exhaust is warm enough to evaporate the moisture. If the smoke is blue then you are getting oil leaking into the cylinder and it is probably coming from the valve seals but without a visual inspection that is impossible to be sure.

White smoke coming out of exhaust, engine not overheating loss of power does not appear to be losing water

White smoke from the exhaust is a sign of coolant entering the combustion chamber. You say no coolant loss, or overheating. Is there a white foamy substance under the oil cap, & air bubbles escaping from the radiator? If so you have a leak and more than likely it is a blown head gasket. I would have a cooling system pressure test run. Do not continue to drive this Ford in this condition. Something is not right and you need to find out what is going on.

Im getting white smoke out off exhaust and i got it diagonised and the error code p420 is coming up and also mixture lean

i'm guessing you blew a head gasket. antifreeze could very well be that white smoke you are seeing. that could cause a lean code. get a compresion test done. that will tell you if it's a blown head gasket.

Car cutting out

Check the exhaust compression. Remove the O2 sensors before the cataylic converts and see if it improves. If it does that means your cats are cloged and need to be replaced.
