Where is the turn signal flasher located?

Where is the turn signal flasher? My signals works sometimes, sometimes not. Sometimes speed up, sometimes normal. 4 way flashers works fine. I read somethign about Turn signal switch on the column, is the flasher in that unit instead of a seperate unit?

I already checked the bulb. When not working, 4 way flashers work. I jusdt called the dealer and with a little time and he talking to the techs, it appears there is not a FLASHER seperate on these 2006 T&C minivans. It is one of two things.....the signal control switch (roughly $65) or a control module (about $170). I will have to do some more trouble shooting. Maybe the onboards Diagnostic will code for it next time it isn't working?

You more likely have a bulb that is no good. The next time your signals aren't working, pull over and check to see which bulb isn't working. Make sure the turn signal is on while checking. It should only be the left or right. Not both. Sometimes you can see the blown bulb with the hazards on depending on your model vehicle. Simply check the bulb thats not blinking for a tight fit. Then replace it if thats not the cure.

What would cause the turn signals to work sometimes and sometimes not ?

A bad flasher relay would do that. They are usually located on the fuse panel and plug into it.

Turn signal flasher relay location in

Turn signals use what is called a flasher to regulate the speed at which the lamps turn on and off. Usually mounted in the fuse box. I have attached the replacement model for a 1996 Roadie. Should take all of 15 seconds to replace.

My left blinker sometimes works and sometimes doesn't and also sometimes I hear a clicking noise when I turn it on then it quits working. Is there a flasher relay for the turn signal, and if so where...

there is a flasher relay for the signals and its located behind the dash on the drivers side sometimes in the lower area of the dash.when the signals are working listen to the clicking noise to narrow down the area the flasher will be in.if all else fails you can go to the library and look for a book on your car and it will have the location in it.also if you know a tech he can help you locate it as well.

Where is the turn signal flasher located on a 1992 oldsmobile cutlass cirea

SOMETIMES THE FLASHER IS IN THE FUSEBOX , SOMETIMES IT WILL BE UNDER THE DASH NEAR THE STEERING COLUMN. THERE ARE TWO FLASHERS ONE FOR TURN SIGNALS & ONE FOR HAZARD LIGHTS. THE TURN SIGNAL FLASHER MAY BE YELLOW & ONE OF THE WIRES WILL BE PURPLE. YOU CAN TURN ON THE HAZARD SWITCH IF THEY WORK YOU CAN LOCATE THAT FLASHER BY THE CLICKING SOUND & ELIMINATE THAT FLASHER & LOOK FOR THE YELLOW PLASTIC ONE. A SMALL MIRRIO MAY BE HELPFUL UNDER THE DASH.

Where is the turn signal flasher located in the 1997 malibu?

You are looking for (typically) a cylindrical device 1-1 1/2 inches in diameter and 2-2 1/2 inches tall. These can be mounted in any position and often are pushed into a spring clip holder. Most have three male connectors although some may have only two.

Flasher is screwed up

This sounds like a bad flasher unit. Simply by replacing this unit should fix this problem. Usually they are located on the top of the steering wheel beneath the trim. You have to disassemble the trim around the steering column.

Turn Signals work intermitently on 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup

My turn signals worked fine until last night when I ran my battery down and had to get a jump. I realized right away that my turn signals suddenly didn't work. My theory hasn't been tested, but I am going to unhook my battery cables and reconnect again to see if that does anything. If not, I'll check out the steering wheel and that big square thing by the fuses. Thank you for all the posts and I was so happy to find this web page!
