Need the firing order 7.3 power stroke

The firing order is 1,2,7,3,4,5,6,8.
Stand with the engine belts and pulleys nearest to you. Bank One is the Left side. Bank Two is the Right side. Bank One is the odd numbers and Bank Two is the even numbers. 1 and 2 nearest to you, 7 and 8 furthest away from you. Try the website for more information.

The firing order is, 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2
Odd and even numbered cylinder banks. driver side bank, front to back, 1 3 5 7
passenger side bank, front to back, 2 4 6 8
Dist rotor rotation, clock wise.
If you put number one cylinder on tdc of compression stroke, then whichever sparkplug tower the rotor is leading into, in the proper direction is number one. Then you follow the firing order in proper direction around the cap.

This was all I could come with, hope it helps.

Coil pack connection is physical: Coil 1 to Cylinder 1, 2->2, etc.

I am not sure if this is your question, but firing order matches spark to TDC (top dead center) on the power stroke. The design of the crankshaft determines this.

1-3-4-2 is common for most straight 4's. Cylinder 1 is closest to the crank pulley. I believe your coils are 'waste spark' which means it will fire two cylinders at the same time. When the coil fires, one cylinder is on the power stroke and is wanting this spark. The other cylinder is on the exhaust stroke at this time, and thus the spark is 'wasted' on that cylinder. But a cylinder with exhaust gas has high impedance, so most of the energy is delivered to the intended cylinder.

If your question was 'should I just connect 1->1, 2->2, 3->3, 4->4' [ yes!] vs. ' should I try to connect coils following the firing order' [no] then the answer is the first. The trigger wheel determines which coilpack fires when, you just need to hook up the wires number for number.

I was surprised to find Dodge still using a distributor on this engine.
The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 and the cylinders on the driver side are 1-3-5-7.

The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.
The distributor rotates in a clockwise direction. The engine must be on the compression stroke on the #1 cylinder. Line up the timing marks. Remove the cap and the rotor should be pointing to approximately the 5 o'clock position.
