Where Are The sensor Banks On The 2004 GC - f8b5293.jpguploads/images/f8b5293.jpg" alt="f8b5293.jpg" class="h_mi" />

Four wires (circuits) are used on each O2 sensor:

  • 12–volt feed circuit for the sensor heating element
  • Ground circuit for the heater element
  • Low-noise sensor return circuit to the PCM
  • Input circuit from the sensor back to the PCM to detect sensor operation

O2S Sensor removal Never apply any type of grease to the oxygen sensor electrical connector, or attempt any soldering of the sensor wiring harness.
WARNING: THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD, EXHAUST PIPES AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER(S) BECOME VERY HOT DURING ENGINE OPERATION. ALLOW ENGINE TO COOL BEFORE REMOVING OXYGEN SENSOR.
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Disconnect O2S pigtail harness from main wiring harness.
3. If equipped, disconnect sensor wire harness mounting clips from engine or body.
CAUTION: When disconnecting sensor electrical connector, do not pull directly on wire going into sensor.
4. Remove O2S sensor with an oxygen sensor removal and installation tool.

02S Sensor installation
Threads of new oxygen sensors are factory coated with anti-seize compound to aid in removal. DO NOT add any additional anti-seize compound to threads of a new oxygen sensor.
1. Install O2S sensor. Tighten to 22 ft. lbs. (30 N·m) torque.
2. Connect O2S sensor wire connector to main wiring harness.
3. If equipped, connect sensor wire harness mounting clips to engine or body. When Equipped: The O2S pigtail harness must be clipped and/or bolted back to their original positions on engine or body to prevent mechanical damage to wiring.

1998 Buick LeSaber Custom... Bank # 1Air Flow sensor.. ???.. How Do You Test The Air Flow Sensor..???

NO SYMPTOMS TOLD JUST A BLIND HUNT VAGUE.
what part is this, try to be more clearn
seems to me all you know now is SCAN tool shows errors not told ?
you said bank 1.

no engine told , is it a USA spec car,?
1998 is USA OBD2 based EFI.
using a scan tool is always wise after fuses all good.
Generation 7 (B) B IS 1996 UP
3800 SERIES ii ENGINE, I SEE.
THIS ENGINE HAS ONLY 1 AIR FLOW SENSOR FOR BOTH BANKS.
CALLED A MAF SENSOR.
THERE ARE fuel trim sensors for banks called oxygen sensors
front sensors, bank 1 and 2, trim fuel. based on oxygen content of exhaust fumes.
ak.a 02 sensor are no good 25 years old
the maf sensor hot wire can coke up and reads low
and causes weak fueling, on both banks, not just one ever.
we clean the fragile hot wire inside using CRC maf cleaner.
nozzel of cleaner never closer than 6inches, no damage done by the tech, gently
scan the PCM yet?
any OBD2 real scan tool works on this old dog.

How to access bank 1 sensor 1 3.5 gm motor 2000 olds intrigue

To access Bank 1 Sensor 1 you need to know what it means. Some of what I write you may already know. Every engine that has one cylinder head has one bank. Every engine that has two cylinder heads has two banks. Bank 1 always contains cyl. 1. On this engine, Bank 1 contains cylinders 1-3-5 and Bank 2 contains cylinders 2-4-6. Now lets talk about sensor 1. Each cylinder head has its own catalytic converter and each catalytic convertor has two 02 sensors. The Upsteam 02 sensor is Sensor 1 (the sensor before the CAT). The Downstream 02 sensor is Sensor 2 (sensor after the CAT). You are looking for the Upsteam 02 sensor on bank 1. I'm also proving a video that is similar to what you are working on and will need to do, to access that 02 sensor. Any questions, please write back. Good Luck.

If a Ford f150 2004 4.2 v6 is showing a lean mixture on bank 1, and bank 2 and bank 2 sensor 2, where would the vacuum leak most likely be located? thanks ray

unlikely to be a vacuum leak as the lean burn is recorded from the heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter
Lean burn can be from low fuel pressures , faulty injectors
vacuum is created in the inlet manifold and is for all banks so if there was a vacuum leak the lean burn would be for all banks and all sensors

2010 buick enclave...need to know location of camshaft position sensor

I think some people (myself included) are confused between camshaft and crankshaft position sensors. I believe their are 4 camshaft position sensors in 2 banks, I’d like to know all these locations as I have p0014 and p0021 corresponding to both banks of CAM shaft sensors. Where are these locations please? I have 2009 Enclave also.

How do you know what o2 sensor is bad on a 2004 ford f-150 5.4v

You generally can't tell by looking. Take it into any of the quickie oil change places, like Jiffy Lube and they will generally hook up their diagnostic tool and read you the code for free. Just say thanks and leave, because they don't fix them anyway. It should tell you what bank and sensor is causing the fault. There are two banks with two sensors each.

Dodge 2004 p171 p174

p0171-- system to lean (bank 1)----p0174-- system to lean (bank 2 ). bank 1 is the side that #1 cylinder is on. bank 2 is the other side. the cause may be bad 02 sensors on both banks, or a exhaust leak. also you may want to check and clean the mass air flow sensor. for the sensor will set the same code as 02 sensors. good-luck!!
