91 s10 horn dos't work. What are the most likley problems? I have already checked the horn and it works.

Check horn fuse, horn relay(if equipped) and horn switch on steering wheel. Also check wiring to horn.

The '96 pump will not work with TBI, so no, that wouldn't work. If the tank mounting is the same, and the hole for the pump is the same, you might be able to use the tank, and then buy a pump for your '91. Or look for a gas tank from salvage.

Check the printed plastic circuit connection where the loom clips onto the speedo head, they can be a source of a short circuit .

Horn and brake lights are on the same fuse. Even if it looks OK replace it with a new fuse to be sure. Your 91 uses a 15-amp large-sized blade fuse for the horn/brakes.


The door buzzer is a separate plug-in module on the fuse box inside under the driver's side dash. If you're not getting any buzzing the whole module can be unplugged and replaced.

Last item to check would be the grounds located under the dash. I'd suggest tracing back from the hazard switch as that's easiest to access (but still not easy) and make sure all the grounds are clean and tight. Then the same for the horn switches in the wheel.

Could be a problem with the harness going into the key switch or the rod between the lock cylinder and the switch.

You have 2 point of contact one is the alarm and the other is the horn switch itself, the horn switch is non op,

I guess you mean steering wheel? If so, the horn is not in there, only a switch to activate the horn. The horn is under the hood mounted on the inside of your fender. To test if the horn or switch is not working, run a 12 gauge wire from the positive lead on the horn to the positive lead on your battery. If it sounds, the horn works and the switch is most likley the problem. If no sound then the horn is bad. But remeber to check your fuse panel before doing this, you may just have a blown fuse (easy fix) Be careful!

Check the flasher & horn relay.Have no idea where they would be on your car.

check fuel pump relay first and yes it will

more than likely it is a horn fuse or relay, never seen the button go out on then models. both r under the hood. to check relay swap with one just like it tosee if it works. good luck
