Have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee and no brake lights. checked fuses bulbs but have no power to the bulb fuse is good
Check the brake light switch, it is down on the brake pedal lever, you can dis-connect the wire connector at the brake light switch and check for broken wires at the connector, and then jumper the connector with a paper clip, if the brake lights come on then replace your brake light switch.
There might be more than one switch attached to the brake light pedal lever, the brake light switch usually only has two wires going to it when there are two switches.
If there is no problem with the brake light switch then you can suspect the turn-signal switch to be at fault, as all of the running lights, turn-signals, brake lights, and hazard lights are all ran through the turn-signal switch. You can also try stepping on the brake pedal and wiggle around the turn-signal switch and see if the brake lights flicker or come on.
If parking lights are working and no brake lights, replace the brake light switch.....if you have no parking lamps and no brk lights it will be the multi function switch on the steering column

Over time, some slots that the fuses slide in to can become loose, which causes a bad connection to the fuse. To fix this, you can find which fuse is the problem and then slightly bend one of the male ends of that fuse and the connection should be restored. The particular fuse it sounds like you're talking about is in the engine compartment in the black fuse box closest to the front of the car. There are three (3) 10 amp fuses grouped together, and you could try looking for a loose connection at one of these.

try replacing the sockets in the tailights/brake lights. worked for me. $10 each. i had to replace all of mine because just replacing the brake sockets didn't solve the problem on the right side. you can test it by exchanging tail light for brake light socket and if that works you know it is the socket
