Trunk won't open with remote.

I recently went to a Acura dealer to change my oil and change my tail lights on my 04 TSX. Couple days later, I find out that my trunk won't open with my key remote. So I try to open it by hand , and still nothing. The only way to open it is by going in the drivers side and open it manually. Can anybody help?

My tail light went out in my 04 kia rio and i cant get to the bulb to change it

In order to change the bulb you must dismantle the tail-light assembly from the vehicle. In common cases, this is an easy procedure. First, open the trunk. Second, look behind the tail-light and look for any screws that may be in the bottom of the trunk behind the tail-light assembly (some carpeting may hide screws). Third, unscrew any screws, once all visible screws are off, and the assembly won't easily come off, there may be push in connectors, if so give the assembly a hard tug back and the assembly should pop off. Fourth, you will see the stock bulb connector wiring with the bulbs, simply turn the bad bulb by the fitting 1/4 counter clockwise and it should come out of the assembly. Fifth, simply pull out the bulb from the adapter, and push in the new one, the install procedure is simply reverse in steps. Good Luck.

How to fix acura tsx 2008 car remote key. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

I would take it apart and try a new battery. Make sure there is no corrosion on the contacts where the battery sits. If that doesn't fix it time for a new remote. Unless you have a bunch of miles on it it may still be under warranty. See your Acura dealer.

I owned a 2005 TSX. They are great cars!

Following the acura service program or not...

Not true. I have worked at both Independent and at the Honda and Acura dealers. I am currently a tech at Acura right now.

The thing is with taking your car to the dealer you are establishing good terms with them. And trust me when your oil is changed it will be done properly. One thing most oil changes places do like jiffy lube and oil shops like goodyear and firestone they seldom lube the oil filter gasket of clean the oil filter maiting surface. Also they dont put new crush wasters on the oil drain plug which can cause leaks. Another thing I delt with alot when i work at Monro Brake and tire and at the dealer ship is over tq drain bolts.

Your TSX has a K series engine in it. This engine has a aluminum oil pan. I've seen many times where the drain plug was over tq so much that it stripped the threads on the oil pan to the point where it had to be replaced.

Now with the other things when you go to Honda or Acura the techs are trained to inspect your honda or acura. They have to finish honda moduals which certify them to perform these dutys to your car. While some places like Jiffy Lube will hire people with no automotive backround experiance at all.

When their is a issue Acura will know what to look for and they can tell when something is in or out of spec. while at another place they may see something that looks out of spec and try to sell you it when it is fine.

Like I said before if you get your car serviced at Acura you will build history with the dealer. So if a major problem occures out of warrenty they may cover some-all of the cost of the repair under Goodwill. I did about two months ago a new engine in a 01 Integra under goodwill. The guy only had to pay 1/4 the total cost. Here is someone else on here that is asking about goodwill and I gave them a explanation on it http://www.fixya.com/cars/t1374262-1998_honda_rear_bushings_broken

The other reason why I like honda is because they Use Mobil 1 oil this is OE Factory. It is better oil, a little more expensive because it is a syntheic oil, but it better protects you engine.

But if you do take it to another place than the dealer. Always go their to get your service done. Because if they screw something up like strip your oil pan they cant blame it on someone else. You will have service records of going their to get your oil changes done.

In the end personaly I feel that when you go to the dealer you do get your dollars worth because you have trained and certified techs who are trained to work on the engine that is in your car and your car itself. I would rather pay a little extra for the know how and experiance of a Acura certified tech or Acura certified oil express tech because the problem will be fixed.

If their is anytthig else you would like to Know please feel free to ask.
