never heard of p1443, p0443 is evaporative control circuit

Check for blockages between the fuel tank, EVAP canister purge valve and engine intake manifold. Check obstructions in the EVAP canister purge valve diaphragm and ports.

Po1443 is the canister vent valve.it means the sensor is out range, and needs replacing.
Po420and po430 are the catalytic converter codes, it means the cats. are inert and need replacing.

1996 ford escort runs fine with full power but check engine light comes on p1443 and i changed gas cap the light still comes on?
