Check where the brightness adjuster is for your instrument panel lighting on your vehicle because there will be one. Sounds from what you have said that this is being moved each time you are turning on and off the headlights because they are totally separate controls.
The dash lights are connected to the park lights. Check to see if the park lights come on. If no park lights, suspect a fuse or wiring issue. If park lights are ok, try slapping your hand on the dash area above the instrument panel to see if the lights come on/flicker. If there is a change, the instrument cluster assembly/electronics are the most likely cause of this problem
Hi, What is needed is rewiring job or buy a new wiring loom but if you need the loom you need a good elektriks guy to re-wire the vehicle. Hope this helps give me feedback please. Thanks, Malcolm Campbell.
i would check for loose or broken grounds to the dash on the fire wall (located under the hood by wiper motor/hvac assembly) also sometimes the instrument cluster gets dirty/loose connection. if so remove cluster and clean connectors and reassemble. try the grounds first.
Hiya--the green headlamp logo on the instrument panel comes on automatically after you start up the engine.
The green light comes on when your headlight switch is on 'auto' until you turn it to 'parking lights' or 'full on' function, that'll turn off the green light...it's normal.
The other thing is if one of 2 headlight bulb reach the end of bulb life, the green light will flash on/off a few times then stay off....until you or the garage shop put in new headlight bulb.
