A little not much, disconnect harness from coil pack, then remove the 8mm bolt that holds the coil pack, pull coil pack out and remove spark plug, check coil pack boots not bad idea to replace while in there, do one at a time, make sure to gap new spark plug at .054" both 4.6L and 5.4L are the same gap.Good luck hope this was very helpful.

Hello
It depends. Some autos need to have the front tire removed to get to the plugs.Or the battery is in the way.

Lets say you have a clear view at the plugs.
1. Tools You need a 3/8 ratchet with an 6 inch extension and a 5/8 or 13/16 socket.
2.A blanket or towell to cover up your fender so you dont scratch the paint.
3.A spark plug gap tool.Plug type and gap should be listed on the engine sticker under the hood.
4.Optional-undo positive cable on battery.
5.Start on first plug.DO ONE AT A TIME.pull 1 plug wire off ,and remove spark plug using your ratchet and socket.Set gap on new plug and install into plug hole.
6 Pull one wire and plug at a time so you do not cross wires and mess up firing order.

May sound like alot but its really easy.

What would my car to randomly "bog down" for a few seconds while cruising at 80 mph?

Sounds like you need a Tune up and possibly a battery change. Do a battery test, if it fails the test then replace the battery. Change the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and coil packs.

If your vehicle has a distributer then just change the spark plug wires and spark plugs.
(Try the suggestions above first)

Honestly, with the complication of vehicles now a days, Bring it to a shop and have them do the tune up if you don't know how to perform this procedure. Also your MAF sensor will need cleaning and the air filter will need to be replaced.

Fiat punto 2005 spark plug change

Hi Gerard, on a 1.28v Punto the plugs are on the back of the cylinder head tucked between the 4 inlet manifolds. The plug closest to the timing belt end (just next to the oil dipstick) is easy to find, the others are a bit obscured by the plastic housing that sheaths the injector wiring. Be careful pulling off the suppressor caps, they hang on quite tight so best use long nose pliers and NOT pull on the HT lead. Hope that helps. Andy

My mazda v6 mx6 2.5, automatic misfiring. what could be the problem

what year and how many miles? check engine light on? problem could be as easy as a spark plug wire loose or broken. so first check for broken or loose spark plug wires check them close with your hand. u can also check at night time with the engine running, watching for an out of place spark. next i would check the spark plugs, remove and inspect for proper clearances. still no luck u can do a compression test on each cylinder. fuel delivery could also be a problem but a little more complicated to check. u could always put some fuel injector clean in ur fuel tank. ps if u take ur spark plugs out look at the spark plugs tips. compare the spark plugs with a spark plug condition chart. also always use anti seize compound on the threads of your spark plug before installation.

Broken spark plug coil bolt

If it is broken off below the surface you will have to try to drill it and use an easy out tool. And it may be frozen in the threads which is why it broke with you.

How do I change the spark plugs on my 2004 cherokee larado 4.0lt

changing the spark plugs on a 4.0 engine is very straight forward. If you have ever changed spark plugs before then you can do it on this engine. It's a straight 6 and simple engine design and they are all easy to access. Although for 2001 and up they did make it slightly more complicated here is a writeup on how it's done:

I need to know how to change the back three spark plugs on my 2008 ford edge , do i remove the manifold.to get to them, is it safe

Removal

LH side
  1. Disconnect the crankcase vent tube quick connect coupling from the valve cover fitting and position aside.
RH side

  1. NOTE: The upper intake manifold must be removed to access the RH spark plugs only.
Remove the upper intake manifold.

Both sides

  1. Disconnect the 6 ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors.
  2. NOTE: When removing the ignition coil-on-plugs, a slight twisting motion will break the seal and ease removal.
Remove the 6 bolts and the 6 ignition coil-on-plugs.

  1. CAUTION: Only use hand tools when removing or installing the spark plugs or damage can occur to the cylinder head or spark plug.
NOTE: Use compressed air to remove any foreign material in the spark plug well before removing the spark plugs.

Remove the 6 spark plugs.

I need to replace the spark plugs ; how hard it is .v-6 motor?

It's not complicated at all, just need a 5/8 spark plug socket, a rachet, a 3" extenton and a 5" piece of hose that fits tightly on the top of the spark plug. The 3 on the front are the easiest, the back 3 are a little more complicated because of the lack of room to operate, that's when the hose comes handy, first loosen the plug a couple of turns with the rachet, and then insert the hose in the spark plug and turn it CCW. To install them, insert them in the hose and screw them in the plug hole until thight, then pull the hose off and finish tighten with rachet. Make sure do not overtighten.

good luck

'03 crv has 60,000 miles. I would like to replace the spark plugs

Make sure the plugs are gapped to spec, before installing, check condition of plug wires as you do the change, or change them at the same time to be sure.

Hope this helps.
