How do I fix the entire antenna connection (cables, etc.) on a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta? I have a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta, and when I bought the vehicle (used) it did not have an antenna. I recently purchased one from Auto Zone, thinking the bad radio reception was because the screw-on part of the antenna was missing. Now, with the antenna screwed on, the reception is equally as bad. How do I fix the entire antenna connection (cables, etc.) on a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta? Thank you very much.

2001 jetta wont rev over 3000 rpms

Please take a code check , it is possible that the timing is incorrect or the fuel pressure is offset.
Make sure that the vehicle had undergone the regular check ups in the said mileage clocked. If not you must attend to the company specified routine service schedule.
Engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, timing belts, fuel pressure, code checks, etc..,.

When I bought my Volkswagen Jetta (2001 and used) it did not come with an antennae. Where can I find and antennae and how do I install it? Thanks.

Your antenna is mounted on the roof, just above the rear glass. You have three choices on where to get an antenna. Your local salvage yard, eBay, or the dealer. And that is most likely the same order in price. It simply screws on to the post. Clockwise to install.

How to manually reset tdi 2001 jetta computer

You can disconnect the battery connection and connect them again. If it has a check engine light, it will pop up again untill the problem is fixed. If you are trying to get an inspection, there is way around it but to fix it.

Dead battery on a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta. How do I jump the battery?

under the hood, you will see a positive battery connection, and there should be a bare metal area on the engine you can use for ground. Clip the BLACK clip of one side of the jumper to the negative terminal of exposed metal on the jetta, then hook the other black clip to the negative terminal on the battery of the other car. Start the other car. Now, hook the RED clip on the jetta side of the cables to the postitve terminal on the jetta, then go and hook the other red clip to the positive terminal on the running car. Let the running vehicle run for about 3-5 minutes, and then with the cables STILL connected, start the Jetta.

After this is done, remove the jumper cables, one clip at a time, while being careful to NOT let them (the clips) touch until they are disconnected from BOTH vehicles!

Hope this is the info you needed!

Well I know I have to replace the cayltic converter. on my 2001 Volkswagen Jetta. So my question for you is how do I fix a bad battery conection?

Replace either the cables, the posts, or the battery, or all of the above :) ..... You can alsu try using a post cleaner, i guess the first step is to see where the connection is loose, if its the battery terminals then replace them first
