Land Rover did not sell a Discovery in the USA in 1993 so I can't help you there. Usually they are in the fuel line under the truck between the gas tank and the engine.
Jeffery is exactly opposite to the facts. The cylinders are numbered standing in front of the engine left bank front cylinder ( the cylinder nearest to the front first 2 4 6 8
right bank front cylinder first 1 3 5 7
