My radio in my 2004 chevy blazer stock radio has

My radio in my 2004 chevy blazer double din stock radio has stopped working suddenly. Once or twice it has lost sound but never gone dark and this time it took my compass and temp too. can someone help. I have checked the fuses the one under the hood is fine. I did have to replace the one near the door inside but it is still not working. The security light on it blinks but nothing else.

SOURCE: remote keyless entry, radio and power sliding door

I think the body control module is shorting out . The body control module can be over heating internally then shorted out. All the parts you mention have a circuit running to the body control module. I would have the vehicle checked for codes at a repair shop , then check the wiring to the body control module.
good luck

SOURCE: M y radio stopped working on my 2004 trail blazer

The 2004 Trailblazer has two fuse panels, one in the under hood and one under the middle row seats. The radio fuse is marked RADIO fuse # 41 and is a 15 amp fuse located in the rear fuse panel. To access the rear fuse panel flip the seat behind the driver to the upright position, under it you can see the fuse panel and a diagram should be on the under side of the cover.

Good luck and hope this helps.

2002 s10 xtreme blazer, Is the factory radio a single din or double din

I do believe you can search through Crutchfield.com and in there is an explanation on din sizes and with a vehicle search you can see what size din yours should be.
You should have a double din if it is OEM. A single din is about 2" tall while a double is 4" tall.
There was also a DH (din and a half) found in early 80's to early 90's GM vehicles (and maybe other makes).

I am looking at bluetooth radios for my wife's chevy Venture (2005). I keep seeing Double DIN is this correct?

yes this vehicle has a double din radio. the old standard radios like most aftermarket are single din, double din refers to being double size of this.

No real problem. I'm wanting to replace my stereo. It's asking me if it's a 1 din or 2 din. I don't know what this means or what I have. I'm guessing it has something to do with size. How do I find that...

The Silverado actually has a 1.5 DIN radio stock. If you're looking to replace it you'll need a mounting kit to convert either to 1 din or double din depending on which stereo you want to use.

2004 chevy tahoe radio display locked hold 2 and 3 boton and not work

the 2 and 3 button trick doesn't work on your 04 or newer chevy trucks, The RDS double din mount radios use a data stream calibration system to unlock and if you change radio from one truck to another then the data info is different and need a GM tech II from the dealer to recalibrate the radio.

I have a 2006 Chevy Equinox and today the radio stopped working. Actually it turns on, but the buttons don't work, the volume won't work, the tuner won't respond, etc. I checked the fuse, it's not blown....

You may need to replace the head unit - you can pick up a OEM replacement on ebay for about 70-100, or go to a stereo place and get a double din head unit for as much as you want.

Aftermarket head unit would probably be better anyway, and you can find a decent clarion double din head unit for less than $200, with ipod control, mp3, wma/aac, etc.. it will be better than your OEM stereo.

If you decide to replace the stereo, its really easy and would take only about 30 minutes, message me and i'll tell you how to remove the stereo.
