There is no std sump plug on the fortwo. the only other way is to take off the complete oil filter housing and lift the car in front wait a couple of minutes for the oil to drain out. this does not take all the oil out but most of it. just reseal the housing when installing.

98blazer oil cool line blew possibley siezed... Oil isnt reaching pan why

If oil cooler line seperated it would have pumped all the oil out very quickly. If the engine does not turn over orif it starts and is noisy chances are the motor will need to be replaced

Losing oil, top up 3weeks ago.check and was no oil. No oil leaks

We can not guess for you on that

I would say from your other post,
there is a good chance the motor
is ruined

You continued to use it & know it ran
out of oil & made a noise,I think your done

Most likely the answer will come if & when that motor
comes apart & I doubt most dealers or shops care to
even figure it out

They just install a reman motor

My car is leaking oil. i dont know if its the oil pan or the oil filter came loose? need to know where the oil filters located.

if it leaves small spots the chances are its the pan gasket but the oil filter should be located up in front of the engine on the right hand side... depending on the size of motor

Mr oil drainage plug was lost and a temp plug was inserted. After recent oil change all oil leaked out now car wont crank. Checked oil nothing in motor. If i fix the plug and put oil back in car will it...

you will be very lucky if it will start by the sounds of things the engine is now seized and may never run again, if you can move the engine around with your hand or turn it in some way buy yourself, you might be lucky, i think you are looking at a 20% chance that it will run, and 80% chance of a new engine needed....hope this helps

My oil light keeps coming on and i changed my oil and itstill comes on. there are no oil spots unde thecar or puddles of oil .

Several issues could exist:
Faulty light - get computer code reading no code good chance its a light/short
Oil pump low pressure test with external pressure meter
Oil pressure sending unit

Once you determine you have oil pressure is good then its a fair chance you have a bad sending unit otherwise its a bad oil pump. Replacing an oil pump is not hard if you ca get the pan off without lifting the motor, Otherwise this is a big job

Car does not work live in usa and it is european shipped to usa

Be aware if you intend to service the smart car D.I.Y the sump does NOT have a drain plug. That's right the sump pan is a sealed unit and the only way to extract the motor oil is by litterally sucking the oil out via the dipstick tube. Silly idea really. Try www.Amazon.com It's an internet book site and has a wide range of Self Service car manuals. Steve in the uk

Oil pan eplacement or repair?

You can try JB Weld after you get it off. I would not try any chances with an oil pan. If that oil pan pours out all of your oil going down the road you will ruin your engine. If it is cheaper to get it welded you can try that. I can't comment on removing that oil pan. You should be able to jack it up and look at it. If there is nothing in the way that you have to remove like a cross member, it should be a piece of cake. Best thing to do is to buy a manual for that can and decide for yourself it it will be easy for you to do. I am a Chevrolet person myself. I am not up on everything in every new car. I usually buy a book on every car that I get or work on. Sometimes something looks very simple and it turns out to be a big headache. I do not know what year your car is or how the motor sits in it. You could call a garage to be on the safe side. I can not make a call when I can not see it myself. I gave you the answer as to what I would do. Be careful not to strip out the bolts going back on. When you take it off you will be able to see the bottom side of your engine. If it is old you might want to think about doing anything that you can reach like changing the oil pump. Just some advice while you have everything at reach.

Do not take any chances on that oil pan. Good luck. Rate this as a Fixya if this solves your problem.
