How do you remove the rear bumper cover

Start by looking it over around all edges for fasteners, including those hidden under the trunk lid, many fasteners are hidden behind the inner liners( black plastic around tires between bumper and wheel, on many makes and models fasteners are hidden behind trunk interior( a helpful hint tape quarter panels to keep bumper cover corners from scratching paint) remove fasteners, and just remember if someone put it together you can take it apart, just map it out, good luck

How to remove rear bumper for my 95 honda accord

Under the rear wheel wells, along the edge near the back is a screw. There is one on mine but there be more than one. Remove the screws for each.

After this, pop the rear trunk and look along the edge of the trunk right where the trunk hood meets the trunk itself. There are three black plastic screws that hold the rest of the rear bumper to the frame. I don't know exactly how these screws work but they don't just unscrew - I had to pop them out with a screw driver instead of rotating them out. Once those are out the rear bumper will lift up and off. There are some hooks along the rear wheel well where you removed the screws - you need to lift and pull out these edges, then lift the entire rear bumper off from the middle of the rear bumper.

Once you've done this, it goes pretty easily. If you have no problem with removing the black plastic screws or unhooking the edges, it should come off in less than five minutes.

How do you remove the front bumper cover on a 98 honda accord sedan EX

Apply the parking brake and raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands.

Disconnect the negative battery cable, then the positive battery cable and wait two minutes before proceeding further (make sure you have the code if you have an anti-theft radio because you will need it after disconnecting the battery).

Working under the vehicle, detach the screws securing the lower edges of the bumper cover (use a small screwdriver to pop the center button up on the plastic fasteners, but do not try to remove the center buttons. They stay in the ferrules)

Remove the bolts, screws and plastic pins on each side retaining the bumper cover to the splash shields. Remove the bolt on each side where the bumper cover attaches to the fender.

Working at the top, detach the retaining bolts (2) securing the bumper cover to the hood latch support. Remove the cover.

When you put it back, make sure the tabs along the top edge of the bumper cover fit into the corresponding clips on the body before attaching the bolts and screws. An assistant is helpful.

Hope this helps you.

Boot fills with water after heavy down pour on 2001 s type sport , some times engine miss fires ,,,until i dry boot out then runs fine ,,boot seal looks ok ,how do i stop water entering the boot...

I would suggest that the rubber seals on the boot surround are in fact faulty or the boot lid is very badly aligned. (Has there been an accident repair to the boot area?)

1. Check the seals again - every inch - and check for movement as some of the rubber adhesive which glues the rubbers to the body work may have broken down.

2. You should be able to replicate the problem with your garden hose. Run the hose full bore over the upper section of the boot lid and over the rear window for a few minutes. As soon as the surface water has cleared the exterior body work open the boot and you should be able to detect where the entry point is by inspecting the edges of the boot compartment and the boot lid.

One person I know popped his wife in the boot while he ran water over the boot area to find a troublesome leak point. I would not recommend doing that.

Front bumper cover is broken, no lights along bottom.

Under the bumper cover is a fiberglass bumper. It could be broken or your bumper mounts could be bent on that side. It is best to remove the screws (on the side of the wheel well) and 10mm bolts holding the bumper cover, and locate the two frontal bolts in each bracket. There are also some plastic push pin nuts in various spots too. Don't try to get the push pins under the headlights, they will come with when the bumper is removed.
