2000 cadillac deville gas gauge avg went blank car won't start

Your best bet is have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's first before doing anything ! Sorry but you have no idea of the complexity of this vehicle .
Body Control System Circuit Description
The body control system consists of three modules, the Dash Integration Module (DIM), the Instrument Panel Integration Module (IPM), and the Rear Integration Module (RIM).
Dash Integration Module (DIM)
Battery Positive Voltage (B+) is provided from IGN SW fuse 20 in the Rear fuse Block on CKT 540 (ORN) to the DIM at connector C3 terminal G. The module ground is on connector C3 terminal E, which is wired to ground G201 by CKT 451 (BLK/WHT). Battery positive sense voltage is provided from DIM fuse 39 in the Rear fuse Block to the DIM at connector C3 terminal A12 on CKT 3340 (ORN). This battery input is referenced to the ground sense input at DIM connector C3 terminal B12, which is wired to the battery negative terminal and to ground G307 on CKT 50 (BLK). These sense inputs are physically connected to the battery positive and negative terminals for accurate battery voltage readings. The DIM is wired to the Class 2 serial data line CKT 1807 (PPL) at connector C2 terminals A11 and A12. The various DIM input and output circuits are described in the corresponding functional areas as indicated on the DIM electrical schematics.
Instrument Panel Module (IPM)
Battery Positive Voltage (B+) is provided from I/P fuse 7 in the Underhood fuse Block on CKT 440 (ORN) to the IPM at connector C1 terminal C1. Ignition Positive Voltage (IGN3) is provided from the IGN3 RR fuse 6 in the Rear fuse Block to the IPM on CKT 41 (BRN) at connector C1 terminal C2. The voltage inputs are referenced to the module ground at connector C1 terminal D16 on CKT 451 (BLK/WHT). The IPM is wired to the Class 2 serial data line CKT 1807 (PPL) at connector C1 terminals C7 and C8. The various IPM input and output circuits are described in the corresponding areas as indicated on the IPM electrical schematics.
Rear Integration Module (RIM)
Battery Positive Voltage (B+) is provided from IGN SW fuse 20 in the Rear fuse Block on CKT 540 (ORN) to the RIM at connector C1 terminal A1. Ignition Positive Voltage (IGN1) is provided from IGN1 fuse 12 in the Rear fuse Block on CKT 1039 (PNK) at RIM connector C1 terminal A3. These voltage inputs are referenced to module ground at connector C1 terminals B7 and B8 on CKTs 1051 (BLK). The RIM is wired to the Class 2 serial data line CKT 1807 (PPL) at connector C2 terminals B3 and B4. The various RIM inputs and outputs are described in the corresponding functional areas as indicated on the RIM electrical schematics.

I have a 2004 Chevy trailblazer no start no crank but if I put key on hot wire the starter it will start I replace new ignition switch and new starter relay b

Before you do any thing check for loose or bad connections. Also check you ground connection to engine. Check Fuses, relay and for a Fusible Link open circuit. Now let me explain what a Fusible Link does. They are short lengths of small gauge wire installed between the Battery and the Ignition Switch, or the Battery and the Fuse Panel. They'll melt and open the circuit before damage occurs in the rest of the circuit. I hope this was helpful you.

1980 caddy coupe deville has brand new battery, brand new alternator but the battery keeps draining.

Something is staying on after the key is turned off. easy way to find out what is staying energized is pull all fuses, disconect the battery, then put the amp meter in line with the positive side of the system between the positive battery post and the positive cable end. then put the fuses back in one at a time a see which one draws one or two amps. that will lead you to the draw down circuit. If nothing is pulling the battery down then the battery is not getting a full charge. Check the ground conection at the motor side of the cable and also the ground strap between the motor and the firewall

Horn and power seats quit working. maxi-fuse extremely hot. pulled it out and re-inserted after it cooled down. fixed the problem temporarily (a day or so). swapped that maxi-fuse with the one above it...

which maxi fuse gets hot ? # fuse , plus amps The power seats uses a 30 amp circuit breaker ,not a fuse . The horn gets power from the same circuit breaker . . Sounds like something is drawing to much current. Do you know how to use a amp meter to test current flow . Disconnect componets till draw goes away ? How to use a wiring diagram to pin point areas in a circuit to test ?
Is there corrosion on the pins where the seat circuit breaker plugs into ? Reach under your seats an see if one of the seat motors is hot .
DeVille
The left and the right power seat system consist of the following components:
• The seat switches
• The seat relay modules
• The 4 reversible motors:
- The front vertical motor
- The rear vertical motor
- The horizontal motor
- The recline motor
These 4 motors operate independently of each other.
When the entire seat switch is pushed to the FORWARD position, the forward input of the of the seat relay is grounded.
The seat relay module supplies battery positive voltage (B+) with a ground to the horizontal motor, in response to this input. In order to drive the seat forward, the motor runs until the switch is released.
The BACK position works similar to the FORWARD position with the exception that the voltage polarity supplied by the seat relay module is reversed causing the motor to run in the opposite direction. This action drives the seat backward.
These recline switches operate similar but independently:

The seat relay module could be bad , If you don't know how to do automotive electrical circuit testing it mite be a good idea for you to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop.
Could have diagnostic trouble codes stored as well .
