When i start the car sometimes the speedo and rev counter work fine and other times the rev counter doesnt work and the speedo needle is shaking slightly on 0kms and wont work?
It sounds like your cable that goes into your cluster may be loose.Reach under the dash in the foot well and jiggle the wires.Then you can see if this makes a difference and you will know if it is this.Otherwise,it could be your speed sensor that goes into the tranny.Hope this helps.
It's unlikely you may have a loose instrument cluster connector unless someone was previously working around that area behind it. If no activity before hand then I'm guessing you may have a deteriorating instrument cluster that needs replacing. You can find people selling in ebay (lower price) or directly from the dealer.
