follow this link for a bit of advice , i'd also remove the coil pack for the rear plugs , making sure you mark the HT leads , dont want them mixed up 3 5 V6 G6 pontiac spark plugs locations
Get the code read at a autozone or something, if its a engine misfire, check the gap on the spark plug in that cylinder, and replace the wire for that cylinder.
Make sure the spark plugs are gapped correctly, and they are not from auto zone, they use factory seconds,Make sure the boots are on the coils ,and spark plugs too. Then look at the primary wiring to the coils to make sure they are going to the correct coil(cylinder).
The G6's spark plugs are located under the plastic cover of the engine compartment for the 3.5 V6, under the spark plug wire boots (the plastic ends of the wires you plug on top of your spark plugs). Once you get the plastic cover off you cant miss them, just follow the plug wire cables. They are easy to change if youremember to do one at a time, (since order does matter, don't mix up the cables!). Also don't over tighten them, expensive damage will be caused. Its best to borrow a torque wrench and read the new spark plug box instructions for proper tightness. Generally if you have trouble finding spark plugs, it might be best to let someone else do this one rather than risk the damage. But there is no better way to learn than by doing it yourself. if for some reason you dont do them one at a time which is a bad thing to do. theFiring Order is 123456 also the Spark Plug Gap for the 3.9L is 1.00 mm 0.040 in Spark Plug Gap for the 3.5L is 1.52 mm 0.060 in if you require further assistance please let me know and i will be glad to assist you from there.
