will need to check the system --is -fan working -enough coolant in system --water pump --if good need to check motor --head gasket internal engine damage etc
white smoke indicates water getting into the combustion process
could be from an improperly fitted head gasket, corroded egr valve that is next to the cooling system, corroded inlet manifold
if you did not clean out the head stud holes before fitting the head then it is possible that although you have the correct tension ,the bolts have bottomed out and the head is not under tension at all
this sounds like the engine could have some bad valve guide seals allowing oil to be pumped into the combustion chamber of the engine, or you could have some broken pistion rings in the cylinders, i would get the vehichle checked out soon for this problem.
Yes it is possible for it to be the valve cover gasket. Since the plugs go down through the centre of the head, and the seals for the spark plug tubes are part of the valve cover seal itself, replace the whole seal. I've seen them on line for less than $20. Is that cheap enough lol?! This should cure the leak. You can verify this by pulling the coil pack or wire(which ever it is) and if there is oil in the tube, replace the valve cover seal. If you did the plugs, you should be able to do this.
Aveos had a service bullatin for some 04 and 05 models. Bad valves, had to have head reworked and solved problem. took car to 3 chevy dealers to find problem..
