You will need to contact your local Jaguar dealer and give them the VIN number so that they can remake your key, or order you a new set of keys. You will need the VIN and proof of ownership(title) to get your new key.

Sounds like it lost it's program. Go to the Jag dealer and get it reprogrammed.

Unfortunately the key you bought on-line is going to be no good, jaguar keys cannot be cut by any after-market company. When ever a customer comes into the dealership he has to give the vin number to the parts department. They then send an order to the company that cuts the keys specifically to the car. Thats why know one will be able to cut it.

They key also has to be programed to the car which the dealership charges .5 hrs worth of labor to do. So needless to say a replacement key is fairly expensive.

When you get a new key the chip needs to be programmed to the Key transponder module, if it will not program then the new key is bad, (very common). You must also program all keys at once.
If your key is good and you are certain then the Key Transponder Module could be bad, If this is the case then once it is replaced the system needs to be reprogrammed by Jaguar. No one can send you the correct file, the car needs to be programmed with the factory WDS diagnostic computer or the IDS system.
Sorry. The only way to match the KTM (immo) and the ecm is to use those diagnostic computers.

hi there u should try to call a lock smith they can work out your key discription from your ignition barrel and make a new one if they cannot do it at all you might have to go buy after market or genuine door locks and another igniton baral again
