There is a rattle in the top right on the drivers door I have had the panel off three times and cannot see where the rattle comes from it is a 2006 2.0 focus ghia

It is located on top of the engine on the driver side. It has three big plugs on it. They have retaking clips and levers that have to come up to disconnect. Is pretty easy to get off. If you look at the motor from the drivers side fender you are looking right at it.

Latch hook needs to be replaced. Some use rubber coating to dampen rattle. Yours may have worn out. check flushness of door to main bodyline. Sometimes the door is latched but there is some gap between door sill and door. If that is the case, the latch hook needs to be repositioned towards the inside.

sounds like a bad ground

On the bottom left of your door there is a red courtesy light. pop off the cover and there is a screw in there holding the bottom of the panel on, take it out first. Then you want to remove the black triangular plate that has the controls for the window in it. It just pops out with three tabs that push in with a flat head screw driver. Thats what I used but Ford may make a tool for it. If your careful then it will cause no harm. Then there is one bolt holding it to the actual door frame that you will see as soon as you get that cover off. Unhook the wire controls and remember where each plugs on for reassembly. Then grab the inside of the door and the base of the panel and pull up swiftly and it pulls right off.

hi you can try removing the door panel and putting in some sponge at the top of the door inside, do the window right up and glue it in place you will have to measure the gap between the door and the window as you do not want too thick sponge as this will hinder the window coming down this should cure the rattles have done this with my own bmw and seems to work well....hope that helps

You should find screws in the armrest and plastic push clips evenly spaced around the edge of the door panel. Use a stiff putty knife, slide it between the door panel & the door frame. Slide it left or right until you find the clip and pry up. It will pop out. When you have poped all of the clips out push the entire door panel up to disengage the top from the window edge.

Check and see if there are two small circles where you would put a bolt through the handle...generally they are there, covering the bolt head.

remove the door lock slide and will be a 7mm screw behind it and one under grab handle. also pop off the bezel around door handle. door panel will lift up and come off then you can get to window switch wires. look at the screws holding the window regulator sometimes the bottom screws come loose and cause rattle

hi there i had the same thing happen due to the door is loose. when u open the door there is a catch which in it as it did not grip properly to the metal bracket

If you remove the door panel, you'll see the screws that hold the mirror on. Remove them and the mirror will come right off.
