The high pressure in your cooling system could be caused by several factors including:
Overheating engine: If the engine is running hot, it will cause the coolant to expand and increase pressure in the system. Malfunctioning radiator cap: A faulty radiator cap can cause pressure to build up in the system and force coolant out of the overflow container. Blocked coolant passages: If the coolant passages are clogged with debris or rust, it can cause the coolant to get trapped and increase pressure in the system. Air pockets in the system: Air pockets can develop in the system, causing pressure imbalances and coolant to be pushed out of the overflow container. If you are experiencing high pressure in your cooling system, it is recommended to have a professional diagnose and fix the issue to prevent damage to your engine and cooling system components.
your building to much pressure and that's related to you overheating ,start by checking cooling system ,possible have it flushed out ,your thermostst my be sticking closed causing overheating, also check radiator cap ,if overheating it should blow off into expantion tank, make sure levels are full , some motors have air bleeder screws that remove the air in the cooling system and that will trap air in the cooling system causing overheating.
first thing i would have my pressure cap tested next i would pressure test the cooling system .you might have a blown head gasket near a watter gallery this will cause pressure in the cooling system.
ive never heard of such- pressure building up!!!! your heating/cooling system builds pressure but its only 15 or so psi. the overheating could be a number of things. your cooling sys. might be dirty, radiator might be clogged, thermostat might be stuck closed. id find you a better mechanic
I would do a pressure test on the cooling system to see if you might have a blown head gasket, causing pressure to build up in the cooling system. You probably have tried a lower pressure radiator cap?
weak rad cap, or in this case a expansion tank cap. all else sounds normal. Or it has a head gasket leak. Need to pressure test the cap and cooling system.
