I assume you are wearing your seatbelt. You will usually find a wire connector under the drivers seat that will disable the alarm if unpluged. it will just be a 2 wire connector.

This just started happening to me as well with my 08 grand prix... Seat Belt ON but light on dash won't quit flashing and alarm goes off every 60 secs or so. Can I get to the wire without moving the seat? Does disconnecting the wire do anything to the airbag (other forums have said that if the wire is cut then the airbag won't deploy)?

SOURCE: seat belt alarm wont stop beeping

Check for wire disconnected where you plug your seatbelt into. it will probably go under the carpet a bit, but it is there. If it is broken/disconnected, the alarm will continue to sound. There is one in the passenger side too, but should only sound when a passenger is seated unless you have more than one problem here...

SOURCE: in my 2007 Hyundai Accent,

Check the belt latch,(the short belt you click in and push button to release). It has a sensor in it. Tap and shake it as it may have a foreign object in it. Look under the seat for the connector(s), and make sure they are pushed in all the way and that the wires aren't damaged. If that doesn't help, try disconnecting the connector. If the light and alarm are still on afterwards.....you have two choices. First, replace that part of the belt. Or, try running a jumper wire across the two contacts in the connector but I cant tell you that!!

I have a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The seat belt alarm goes off constantly with the seat belts fastened or not fastened.

There is an electrical contact in the bottom of the seat belt buckle, and associated wiring that has a connector under the seat. Check that with a multimeter for continuity.

Also, this is a function of the Body Control Module, so you may have a communication problem. This can only be solved or confirmed by getting an auto electrician to connect a pro grade scan tool computer to the OBDII port and checking.

My seat belt alarm keeps dinging even though my seat belt is secured/fastened. how do I make it stop?

There is a small wired connection that leads to your set belt buckle under your seat. My bet is that is loose or came disconnected as you put something under your seat. It will have a small plastic connection point in the line.

How to unhook the alarm in a 06 jeep grand Cherokee. Seat belts not getting right connection when buckle to stop alarm .

I would cut the two wires going to the seat belt buckle and twist them together. sounds like it needs a new buckle anyway so cutting the wires isn't going to ruin anything
