Not sure about the Ranger but the Ford Galaxy used speakers of around 6 - 8 inch diameter.

I suggest you remove a door card to check rather than try to estimate from the size of the speaker grille. This is because best practice is to make the hole significantly smaller than the speaker.

Sorry I couldn't give a definite answer, I just thought you should hear from someone...

If there is room, you can change sizes. It's easier just to keep the same size and just get better speakers because certain door speakers require specific spacing and room for the magnet of the speaker to hit and retract effectively. But after upgrading to good speakers, you may want to run them thru an amp to get the full potential of the door speakers. If you hook it up thru your head unit it will be 50 watts max to each speaker usually.

Remove the old speaker and you will then know what size you need. Or you can go to any store that sells auto speakers and they will have a chart that will tell you the correct size.

You can go to www.crutchfield.com to see what size speakers are in your vehicle.

the correct speaker size is 4x6 front and rear the fronts are simple be careful with the back as panel clips break easily

the front door speaker size is 6.5". i dont belive there is speakers in the dash
