I have a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara and lately it has smelled like gasoline inside the vehicle after it has been parked for awhile and the odor also permeates throughout the garage. There are no visible leaks and the dealer cannot find anything wrong. Once you start driving, the odor dissipates.

If I were you ,I would remove the plentum and make sure the injectors are not leaking onto the intake manifold and creating a pocket of fuel,witch could cause a engine fire while driving.
Buster, was that the problem? My wife has the same issue with her 07 vitara. It's also been smelling like anti freeze. Dealer claims they can't find anything wrong. most newer vehicles will not lock the door with the keys in the ignition and/or the keyless start remote fob in the vehicle. Vitara has a small button on the handle that will unlock the door if you have the fob in your pocket if the fob is in the car it can"t be secured since it is set up to unlock when the fob is within a couple feet of the vehicle.
