Re: We need a diagram for the fuse box on a 1997 jeep...
And there are too many lightbulbs to remove, also the diagram that displays problems with the vehicle shows that the back door is open and it's not. But the battery drains if I don't take the fuse out.
I have the same exact problem you have. After doing boat loads of research I found out that the best thing to do is to remove the fuse for the interior lights when you're not driving the vehicle.I have the same exact problem you have. As I said in your last question, there are very few reasons you need to go near it. A good auto electrician with a professional grade scan tool computer can diagnose the ECM for faults in about 20 to 30 minutes. It is not a job for 'let's try changing this'. If it is bad, a new one needs a tech to install as it has to be programmed with the VIN Number and mileage and set up.

Like answer #1, when I bought my 1993 Jeep Cherokee, one of the first things I ended up doing was go to & join the
cherokeeforum.com, i.e. cherokee-forum-dot-com....
I've found that whenever I need advise, or answers to any questions with my vehicles, I look for the forum for that vehicle. 99.9% of the time the folks in the forums give you honest answers..... I even subscribe to a few YouTube Channels, like the one for my 93 Cherokee. That guy is not only smart when it comes to 1990s-2000s Jeep Cherokee's/XJs, he's always doing some sort of repair or modification to one of his Cherokee's or Grand Cherokee's..... Hope this helps all you Jeep XJ Folks out there....
Accordint with the Repair Manual - Secc 8W Wiring Diagrams, you have two main fuse box there, one is undehood (Power Distribution Center) and other in Passenger Compartment (globe box side). Check this diagram...
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate
your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about
this answer.
There are three fuse boxes in the 1997 grand cherokee jeep. One is located under the hood and one on the right wall side of the lower front passenger side dash.
The third one is located in the glove box,you have to take off the bottom plastic to be able to access it.
If this is Grand Cherokee, review ths Repair Manual ZJ-Secc-8W-Wiring-Diagrams (page 7, 9 and 10 for location, details and description). The diagramas can find it in the next pages.
I hope help yuo with this (remember rated this help). Good luck.
