My back right wheel locked. why and what can I do? This happen on my 2004 Chevy Aveo
The exact same thing happened to my 2004 Aveo on the same side. I had it towed to the mechanics and they informed me that GM glues the shoes to the pads and when they seperate they jam up and that locks your wheel. I had to get new brakes on the back so I just did the entire car in case they were all like that. Hope this helps.
You have to change the rear wheel cylinder because it would have been broke. Also the rear wheel bearing also had to be changed. GM charges $180 for 1 rear wheel bearing.
You should flush and change your brake fluid every 24 months. The moisture normally will wreck the brake cylinder.
