YES. Crawl into the back and remove all of the screws that hold the back plastic panel on.
the back seat is removed by pulling up the rear seat front cushion. Then you get access to the seat back. There are 2 12 mm bolts that hold the seat back AND the side arm rest.Lower arm rest bolts are at the bottom. 12 mm. Tie the seat belts back. The seat back bolts are at the bottom. 12 mm.
B-4 you try that ordeal...... Use lock eaze on the lock cylinder. Graphite spray can.
Try pulling the trunk key back out. maybe a slide hammer.. Put down pressure on the trunk lid, first. Have a friend sit on it...
WD-40: last resort.
Work the key in the cylinder after you dowse the key hole with that crap/chemical. If the key brakes off, into the trunk you go.
You can try to pull on the belt with the plastic trim piece removed the take a flat tipped screwdriver the release the arm or bar holding the belt in the lock position. Most of these have a spring on them. That spring can fall out. Or sometimes the bar or lock arm may be jammed and needs to be pried loose then lubricated to prevent this from repeating in the future.
Dave I highly reccomend you to replace the seatbelt instead of repairing it ...you wouldnt want it to fall in an accident... the dealer dont repair them for this reason
There are supposed to be three locks. It is common for seats like this for the lock to fall to the back or under side of the seat. Try taking the bench cushion off and see if you can find it. Did you buy this car used? if so and you cant find the seat belt take it to them. It is supposed to be there
The return retractor spring has spruns. A replacement is needed to have this operating correctly again. Seat belts assemblies are not repairable by US law so a new or a working used unit can be purchased
Seat belts have an inertia switch, that when you stop sudden, the switch accuates to stop the belt from extending. Your's could be stuck, you may have to replace the seat belt unit. Junkyards have them.
Turn the drive belt tensioner clockwise to relieve tension on the belt.
Remove the fan and generator V belt.
Return the tensioner to the unloaded position.
NOTE
When retracting the tensioner, turn it clockwise slowly in 3 sec. or more. Be sure not to apply force rapidly. After the tensioner is retracted all the way, do not apply force any more than necessary.
Try pulling it forward the try going to the tip of the seat belt were it dissapears into the door and pull from there or if it's impossible I think it's time to change your seat belts.
