I have a broken brake line above my gas tank and I can not find a diagram to show me if the line runs straight across the tank or if there are other connecting lines above the gas tank that I can not see. I have a 99 dodge grand caravan. Do you know if there are any other connecting lines that met above the tank of is it just a connecting line for the back tires only? Or where I might be able to find a diagram of this vehicle?

Look at the differential housing and you'll find a "T" with a flexible line going to that broken line above the tank. Cut and connect another a replacement line from front of tank around to the "T" and then bleed the rear brakes. The single line feeds both rear brakes from that "T" and there are no other lines connected to it. Done this way will keep you from having to drop the fuel tank to get to the line to replace it.

SOURCE: REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY 99 GRAND CARAVAN

INSTALLATION: REMOVE THE TOP DASH COVER USING A FLAT TIP SCREW DRIVER AND LOCATE THE CONNECTOR FOR THE RKE MODULE. THE CONNECTOR WILL BE SMALL AND LOCATED NEXT TO THE HVAC DISTRIBUTION DUCT. MOUNT MODULE AND INSERT THE CONNECTOR. SINCE THE BODY CONTROL MODULE IS INVOLVED WITH THE RKE THIS MAY OR MAY NOT WORK BECAUSE NOT ALL CONTROLLERS ARE THE SAME BUT IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TRY TO PERFORM THE TASK TRY THIS. FOR PROGRAMMING:

  1. Using a functional key fob transmitter, unlock the vehicle and disarm the Vehicle Theft Security System.
  2. Insert ignition key into the ignition switch.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN position without starting engine.
  4. Using a functional key fob transmitter, press and hold the UNLOCK button for a minimum four seconds (maximum ten seconds)
  5. While holding UNLOCK button, and before ten seconds passes, press and release the PANIC button. A single chime will sound to verify that the RKE module is set to receive the new Vehicle Access Code(s)
  6. Within 30 seconds of the chime, press and release the "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" buttons on the transmitter at the same time. Then press any one of the buttons. The BCM will sound an abbreviated chime to acknowledge that the programming of the transmitter has been completed and was successful.
  7. Repeat step 6 for all transmitters that will be used with this vehicle (up to 4 total)
  8. Programming mode will last for 30 seconds. To get out of programming mode sooner, turn the ignition OFF. A single chime will sound to verify that the RKE module will no longer accept additional Vehicle Access Code(s)
  9. When Vehicle Access Code(s) programming is complete, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and verify RKE system operation using each key fob

SOURCE: 2000 grand caravan won't go above 70 mph. high rpms

First I need to ask is it a 4 speed or a 3 speed transmission. If it's a 4 speed when driving down the road pull it from drive to third gear. You shpuld hear the engine speed up if it does not then that means you have on 4th gear and you will have to take it to a transmission shop. If it's a 3 speed then just count the shift points if all 3 gears are present then drive down the road and see if the van goes into tcc. When you mean the rpms are high how high are they.

SOURCE: going over bumps with 99 grand caravan sounds like

Well..... Check the links, if they are OK it could be the struts. Links are common on these. The time you took to post this, you could have known the answer. Grab the link with your hand and if its loose and rattles, its bad.

I need a diagram for brake lines on an 1994 ford aerostar 2 wheel drive with the 3.0 v6 motor

You don't need a diagram. Run the where you want. Just a note though. Keep them above the bottom part of the frame and away from the exhaust. They don't have to run above the fuel tank. And you don't have to cut out the old lines.

Do you have a brake diagram

It just goes up above the fuel tank brackets. If it has leaks there you will see it on the tank or at the frame. I always just replace them... Always. You don\'t have to pull the tank. just run them beside the tank. If the lines are god coming from the ABS or master cylinder, cut them. Use compression fittings from there and replace them all the way back to the back brakes. Don\'t kink the lines.. Don\'t remove the old lines, just extra work. Keep the new lines close to them, tie wrap them on

1995 ford contour has a blown brake line on passangers rear. mechanic said the gas tank has to be dropped to replace, Is this true and if so how much of a pain is the whole operation?

There r ways around that if u follow the brake line u could cut the broken one right before the gas tank then flare it n connect a new line n run it on the side of the gas tank with wire ties . Also u can put a compression fitting on the line u cut after the gas tank that's Wat I did two years ago n they r still working fine .if u can get the flare kit do it that way cuz I belive they can fail u for the compression fitting

I have a brake line that is broken above the gas tank. does that line supply both rear brakes? also what the easiest way to replace it?

Yes it supplys both rear breaks, the only way to fix it is with new line and fittings from your local auto parts store, from wear it screws into the perportioning valve up front all the way to the rear wear it screws into the rubber line above the rearend housing, its not that hard just make sure you get the right size lines and fittings.

Krown Rust Control states that they spray above the gas tank

I would check my Krown warranty.
If you have had the vehicle sprayed starting when it was new you should have NO rust.....and free brake lines.
If it was a used vehicle when you started spraying......the Krown will only slow the rust......no free brake lines.
If the top tank area is dry....no Krown oil.......again free brake lines.
Krown is a good product and does prevent rust if applied correctly.

Need to replace brake line from rear axle forward on a 1996 gmc sierra 1500 pu xcab. i need a diagram.

Chanses are it broke behind the gas tank wear it runs along the frame rail. You don't need a diagram to fix that, just unhook it at both ends and break it off or cut it off buy the tank and take the pieces with you to a auto parts store and they will match it up with new line, just take a tape measure and measure from the rear axel to the front block or perportioning valve, and don't worry about the piece behind the tank, just run the new line alongside the old one behind the tank unless you want to pull the tank out.
