The coils are on the valve covers. Here is a picture. #2 cylinder is in the front head and is on the far left.

We recently purchased a 2003 saturn vue we are having trouble with the ignition every time we go to try and start it its so hard to turn the kek you have to keep fighting with it until it starts

Try powdered graphite in the lock cylinder. NOT liquid but powdered. You can get it at auto parts stores or better grade at any good locksmith. Comes in a squeeze tube, couple of puffs into lick and work it in. It takes a short amount of time but it works great.

2002 Saturn Vue Ignition Cylinder lock problem

The keys on this vehicle have a problem with wearing down to the point where it's a pain to get them to work in the ignition cylinder. Examine your keys for wear and that may have been your problem since day one.
I have a 2004 Vue and I have the only key I got with it (used car) worn down to the point where it will no longer work in the back door and is a pain to use in the ignition cylinder. It also falls right out of the ignition cylinder when the car is running. I have a copy of the key that was made when I got the car which works just fine and doesn't fall out, and looking at the two side by side, you can see that Saturn's key has worn down substantially since I got it two years ago.

I have 2007 Saturn Vue. When I put the key in the ignition it wont turn the car on. I put grafite in the lock . It got better but not much. Most annoying thing in the worlf

You should still be under warranty, unless you have more than 36,000 miles. Take it in and tell them the ignition cylinder is binding. There is a technical service bulletin for this issue that says they need to remove the cylinder, clean it, and lubricate it with a special lubricant. If this still doesn't fix it they will need to replace the ignition cylinder and probably the ignition cylinder housing too. The bulletin number is 06-02-35-016c, this should help who ever gets to fix this.

REMOVAL

Disable SIR system. (Refer to "SIR Disable/Enable Procedure (For Frontal and Curtain Inflators)".
Disconnect negative battery cable.
Remove lock cylinder bezel from steering column shroud by carefully prying with thin blade screwdriver.
Remove shroud fasteners and remove steering column upper and lower shroud panels.
Insert key into ignition lock cylinder and rotate to RUN position. Then rotate ignition cylinder back to ACC position.
Depress locking button on side of ignition module assembly with a thin pick-type tool. Slide lock cylinder assembly from ignition module.

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: Actuator blade within ignition module housing must be in ACC position to install lock cylinder assembly. If rotated, replace it to ACC position, using needle nose pliers.

Insert key into ignition lock cylinder and install into ignition module.
Install steering column upper and lower shrouds and shroud fasteners.
Install lock cylinder bezel.
Connect negative battery cable.
Enable the SIR system. (Refer to "SIR Disable/Enable Procedure (For Frontal and Curtain Inflators)".
