Guys-no schrader valve-and 92 doesn't have scan capability. Its a fuel problem-so listen at fuel tank inlet with cap off and have someone turn key to on, not start, ON. Hear the pump run for 2 to 3 seconds??, Pump may be ok. next find fuel inlet on back of throttle body and loosen it, don't remove. Key on again does fuel spill out of connection? Pump is OK! Tighten up fuel inlet to throttle body. Make a jumper wire with a 5amp fuse in the middle and alligator clips on each end. Locate the POWER wire to the injector, red I think. Pierce the power wire with a pin or whatever and attach one alligator clip to the pin and the other clip to the positive battery post. Start the car!! IF it starts and runs, the circuit in the PCM that provides power to the injector has burned out. Rebuilt ECMs are on ebay. Common failure. Good Luck!

actually the 92 is a obd1 type code reader, so it is possible to read the engine tro codes, by strapping the test connector and reading the flashes

Sounds like a fuel problem! dumb question but are you sure theres fuel in the tank? I've have people tow vehicles in on a hook just to find out there out of fuel! put a fuel pressure gauge on the schrader valve on the fuel rail and check line pressure, should be over 30 PSI if you don't have a pressure gauge you could (I didn't tell you to but you could) turn the key on and 'poke' the pintle in the schrader valve to see if fuel spray up at you or not If yes them suspect air/fuel mixture, poor fuel, weak ignition system, injection problem, poor compression if no then you have a fuel pump not pumping good luck

Check for spark at the spark plugs. You may have a wiring problem. Check wiring for damage from rodents, connections that are corroded or loose.

My 92 geo tracker wont start. All it does is crank crank and crank more. My uncle has it rigged and have no clue what wires go where. So a wiring diagram for it would be nice. We checked everything, it...

Have you checked the fuel regulator and the pressure from the fuel pump to ensure it is not weak. In addition, you might want to check and see if fuel is going into the cyl. the catalytic converter may be plugged based on the year of the car. To check this you could pull the o2 sensor out of the exhaust and see if it keeps running, realize it won't run at 100%. If it is the back pressure will not allow fuel to come into the cyl.

How do I remove the speedometer cable to lubricate- 1992 Geo Tracker

Easiest way is to do it from the gearbox end to save stripping out the dash and then having rattles after you have finished!

Disconnect at the top of the gearbox (it simply comes out by removing the small bolt that holds it in then pull up and out)

Rise the cable as high as possible, spray onto it in a way that makes its way onto the inner cable - use penetrating fluid first the spray with a lube that has a teflon base as this will keep it lubed for a long time.

1991 Geo Tracker only starts with starting fluid.

Check fuel filter on both vehicles...After that check fuel pressure ...Blocking off air flow to engine will change the fuel air mixture...air deprivation changes (lessens) air flow and fools engine into reading more fuel than is actually there. Mass air flow sensor should also be checked/cleaned if no results obtained by filter change if pressure is OK.
