Can't help from here , you need to take it to a qualified repair shop . If you knew what codes were stored ,maybe .

i would check the crankshaft sensor or the camshaft sensor the crank sensor is on the side of the engine i believe the pass .and the cam is in back of the engine .on top

there are a number of reasons why you are losing power , vacuum leak will make it also run rough , bad wires . plugs , bad gas , do u have a ck eng light on if so find the codes , give me some more info after you ck this stuff out

No idea sounds like a multiplug connection ?? but i have no idea other than this ,now if it was a renault i would know that pluging it in would be a waste of time to start with as its all encrypted software for dealers only but a ford ?? never so look for a broken wiring connector

Get the codes read, that's the only way you're going to find out what is going on with the vehicle. You don't have to have the dealer do it, all repair shops have code readers, along with most auto parts stores and some of the oil change places can do it also. With as computerized as the cars are now, when the CEL comes on you what to read the codes.

did you tune it up at all , do u have a ck eng light on , do u have a vacuum leak this would cause you symtons

as part of the solution i first must ask, is the check engine light on? if not, it may just be time for general maintenance (spark plugs, wires, throttle body cleaning, injector system cleaning). second, while running and running in idle, is the idle varying (continually reving up and down), rough, low or none of the above? answer back and i can help out a little more.

It needs to be reset probably has a p0440 code in the computer.

First of all, what cuts out, the "check engine" light, or the engine itself? If its the ck eng light it sounds like an intermittin problem that in most cases cannot be resolved with a code scanner. Have you disconnected the battery to reset that light? If not, then do so (usually the ground cable) for about 10 min., then re-connect the cable and your ck eng. light will be off. ck eng. lights generally have to be constantly on in order to pull codes from the PCM. If there is a problem then the light will come back on.
